Below are some of the guitars that have found their way into my home...

Left to right
The Squire Strat that my Grandson received as a Christmas present and initiated my re-interest in guitars after a 40+ year absence from playing or owning a guitar. To the right is an red Epiphone S-210. that was in my possession for a brief time, then got flipped. Black Epi SG with P90s I acquired here in Lost Angeles for my gear flipping Ferengi friend @eESGe and shipped of to Florida to be flipped again. Then we have Burla which earmarked my return to guitar ownership due to my Grandson's Strat acquisition. Last but not least is (Taki) my Takamine acoustic/electric. Of all the guitars pictured below, only Burla and Taki still reside with me.

Starting on the left is an Agile AL2000 which was flipped to @Sp8ctre who flipped it again. Burla in all of her highly modified G-400 splendor. Center position is filled with an empty husk Squire Bullet still waiting to be assembled with duel humbuckers. Tele wannabe was purchased because, well because, oh yeah, because it looks like the Tele used in the movie Crossroads. Then we have Dirty Girl on the far right. Dirty Girl has been gifted to a family member and although not living with me, is still in the family. Aside from the Agile and Dirty Girl, I still own these guitars.

Now what good is a Family pics thread without family pics?

Below is my Grandson Len pictured with the Strat he had just received as a Christmas present circa 2009.

Very Nice Wav. I think I recognize all of them!

If I showed my herd it would number around 50+ guitars over a 7 year span only one of which I still own...the one you ask? Robert's Squier Strat! The only guitar I'll never part with!

Nice collection! Do you know what year that Peavey bass is? Some of those were MIA too...(?)
Not sure of the year. I bought it from a GC across the country and it arrived missing a tuning peg and all kinds of crap embedded on the backside of the body where the padding from the case bonded with the body. A full refinish is on the list for this one.

Well Wav, I like SG’s as well. My son’s birthday is in July. I had 5 guitars to give him. 3 that I’ve been holding for him for the last year and a half, and a new Acoustic Electric for his birthday on July 9, and an ES 335 clone for Christmas this year as he’s not going to be home this year during Christmas.

He will be 29 this year. For his 30th birthday next year, I was going to buy him a Gibson SG Standard. I thought that would be a great 30th birthday present as 30 is the first, big, “Adult” birthday.

He’s getting pensioned out of the US Army with a 100% VA rating due to multiple injuries, and nearly being killed in combat. So, I think he’s been quite successful with his military career, but he can’t continue due to his health, and it’s all service related.

Unfortunately my wife is facing cancer treatment, and I just don’t know if I’d be able to buy him a new SG next year, so I decided to give him one of my Gibson SG’s. Everytime he visits and we play guitar, he always laments the SG that I bought him when he was 13, which he damaged and subsequently traded off.

I’m giving him the Cherry Red Gibson in the photo below, as it’s quite similar to the one he gave up when he was a kid. It’s a 2021 model, but has very little play time on it, and zero fret wear.

I’m going to give it to him when he comes home at the beginning of August as an early birthday present for 2025.
