I have akways liked old RCA 12AX7s. I found a few new old stock from a reputable dude. Also a Sylvania. Last one I had was acyially a Raytheon black, this is a Sylvania made.
Will be interesting to try in some of the simpler circuits, the Marshall 800s.

Nice score. They will definitely do you well in the V1 or V2 spot on an old amp like a JCM. I have all early sixties RCA tubes in my '63 blonde Bandmaster. The same with other amps, such as Raytheons in the Deluxe Reverb, RSDs (Siemens) in the real JTM45, Mullards in my 100 watt JMP, etc. I pair the amp to the tubes and listen to what they sound like with changes in the V1 and V2 spots. Nevermind what I went through to balance the phase inverter tube on my JTM45. I love the old stuff because I know they will last a long time in my amps. And sound good too. I have a lot more stashed than in this photo.

Well I have a few but not that many!!
Some RCA, Raytheon, RFT, GE, Mullard, Sylvania, Ei longs, Amperes, Philips... most are in amps somewhere.

Was fun to photograph glass tubes. I used a softbox behind going towards camera rather than white backdrop. Then I lighted front with an umbrella up high. I used black fabric on the right side to reflect on tube thus giving it an edge.
Fun to play with.

I still have a few I have quit servicing tube amps for other people, did get a box of NOS RCA dated 1960 no photos yet
before Russia's special operation I could get most any tube from Russia or Germany the last time I inquired my friend in Russia
zero Russian made tubes did get UK Mullards and US made air fright only.
