Got mine Friday, signature req. but the driver just left it at the door (?)
Listed as "used".
Looks new.
There is no plastic film on the pickguard, but it has the striations, not smooth.
The strings were quite a bit rusty, but only on the tuner side of the nut.
This is the best out of the box guitar I have ever gotten. Nuts slots cut pretty well for height, bind a little. A little file work and quickly resolved. The fretwork is very good. No sharp ends or bevels, level seems ok.
I like the body finish, the satin neck, and the aged hardware.
The setup wasn't horrible except the intonation was a good bit off. I got it closer to play it a bit and then dialed it in best I could at string change over the weekend. I put the stock saddles back on my CV 50's tele and have it listed for sale locally. I will put the intonated brass saddles on this one this weekend.
The neck profile is a little thicker than my both my CV strat and tele. Still thin but at a little under .83" at the first fret, very playable for me. I like the pickups just fine and will spend a little more time with height adjustment.
The ONLY thing that will likely have me move this one on is the weight, about 9lbs. I play standing mostly, but some seated.
I can't get quite comfortable when playing near the nut seated.
Except for the weight, I am very pleased and impressed. If this was around the 7.5lb some others have reported, it would be a definite keeper.

I really like this guitar except for the weight. I even got comfortable with the thinner neck; like the satin thin finish too.
But, I ended up selling it.
I bought a similar one during Prime Day but now they say the ship date is unknown. If it shows up and checks out and is 8 / maybe 8.5lbs or less, it may be a keeper. If not, I will return it.

I always thought Fenders were normally light compared to gibson.

Is a Squire a Fender guitar I'm confused former inspector # 20 was claiming Fender guitars were not made in USA 100%
In the early Japanese made Fenders they used different woods than the USA made the Japanese maple was soft not hard rock maple
I did buy a couple Japan made Fenders they sustained like wet cardboard same with the Mexican made replaced the pickups and controls
no difference I do have a 1953 Fender Esquire that sounds like a Les Paul one piece ash body 6 pounds rings like a bell
It all started 39 years ago when my guitar teacher wanted to barrow money to buy a guitar well I got the guitar a 1961 Stratocaster
it's one out of a thousand I'm a student not a expert can only go buy my experience have owned a few hundred guitars
not into heavy guitars

So, the Amazon Prime day Satin Mocha one finally shipped and I got it last week.
I dig it but like the Blonde color a little better.
Around 7.5lbs, good out of the box except the nuts slots typically cut too high.
Fret ends pretty smooth, and acceptably level.
I think the "binding" is just paint. Looks great though.
Intonates well with the stock saddles.
The neck is slim as expected at .833" first fret. Not bad, but not quite in my comfort zone.
I like it a lot, but since the tele partscaster I just built came out great, I am undecided, and also not comfortable having spent $$ for both.
I have an unbranded thicker B stock / "project" neck I took a chance on from Reverb. It doesn't give up any relief with the truss rod full counter clockwise. I fret leveled it and installed it with a temporary plastic nut .
I don't know if string pressure and time will right it. Right now there is just a little relief and it does buzz some. It is summer and fairly humid in my basement so I think this is at its worst. Other than the buzz, it feels, plays, and sounds great.
The ebay strat neck I got earlier this year started out similar but is ok now.
Not sure if I will keep it and sell off the Squier neck, or put that neck back on and return it.
I am pretty sure I will not keep it with the stock / thinner neck.
