New Guitar On My Birthday Day... Eleven days ago as of this post. Completely surprised with this act of love and generosity that was diabolically instigated by oldest daughter and eventually joined in conspiracy by my wife, my son, and my other daughter. Also involved two really good friends, with one of them being a long-term employee of the EBMM guitar factory located in nearby San Luis Obispo, Crazyfornia. I present y'all my 2023 EBMM Cutlass Classic '58...:

OOOoohh Weeeee!!!
Nice!
Congrats, that is sweet; hope it really wows you and the honeymoon never ends, especially with the love and thoughtfulness that brought it to you!!

What is the neck profile like, how does it feel to you?
The 50's spec A5 pickups should bring the goods!!

The only thing I don't like is the 1-5/8" nut width, but thats my problem.

That's beautiful and an awesome gift! This is only one of a 100 correct?
Yes. The included certificate of authenticity states it’s #3 out of 100.

The guitar came with a pretty sweet setup. The 10” radius neck feels very comfortable and I would describe its profile as a very comfy C style. My Music Man Silhouette’s neck has about the same specs, but the major difference is in the finish. Common EBMM finish recipe is polyester for the body, and gunstock oil with a wax rub for the neck. However, this special run of guitars is all nitro and feels very cozy, and dare I say: It feels vintagey!

The only amp that this guitar has been plugged into so far, is my Allen Amps Chihuahua, which is a 6 watt with reverb blackface style amp combo with a 10” speaker. The amp’s volume control seems to be stuck at the halfway point. I can’t get away from the beautiful clean tones coming from the pickups and from the amp. I haven’t even applied any overdrive seasoning to this one yet! Don’t know what’s wrong with me, ha ha!

Haven’t measured anything yet, but the guitar feels light and I’m guessing at about 7 lbs.

When I change the strings, I’ll get a look under the hood and post more pics. I’ll also measure the pickups DC resistance and post those numbers too.

Six months later, I finally got around in changing the strings and taking a looky inside. And true to the marketing of this guitar, the wiring is very simple, and also very well done:

That's a .1 uF for the tone cap!
