Ambassador of Cool Guitars and Amps.
With all the stuff going on at the house right now, I really didn't want to spend a bunch of cash. Especially since I really don't need anything, even though there are a couple of odd things I am trying to get my hands on. However, this week Bob D. put up one of the amps he kept for himself for sale on the book of face. I was the first person to respond. I was lucky enough to see it a few minutes after he posted it. Also had cash kicking around.
So, what is it you ask? A DST Engineering DST-15 from 2009. It is Bob's take on a Vox AC-15. But, with a few different things going on. First, it's housed in a beautiful Bloodwood and Yellow Heart cabinet. It has an EF86 tube for the Normal Channel, and it has a Top Boost "Brilliant" Channel. Since Bob loves Ampeg Reverb, he put an Ampeg reverb tank and circuit in the amp that works with both channels, unlike the reverb channel of an AC-30 which is designated to it's own channel. The speaker is an Eminence Red Coat "Red Fang." It is also switchable from 15 to 4 watts, and has external speaker jacks. I've been playing it with a Strat and my ES-335 today, and it sounds fantastic. I love the reverb, and have had it on all day and night. From minimal to less than moderate, but always on. And it sounds absolutely fantastic.
This was the style amp that I originally wanted when I first met him, but didn't think it would be loud enough, so I went for the DST-30 instead. Psyched that I now have one. This puts me up to five DST amps now. We were talking about me maybe doing a DST fan page of the Book of Face in the future. He also took some time to show me how to bias my Solera and U34 amps.

Impeccable workmanship as always in a DST amplifier.
