He is right.

If there is one thing I wish existed ten years ago at that price, it would be the HX Stomp.

Kemper and Fractal Audio are still expensive gear and have been since the last decade.

The caveat with the Stomp is that it comes alive when you spend the money on good profiles with IRs.

However only do that once you have downloaded the custom tone free stuff from Line6 and played with them for a while.

When you have a good quality profile pack where the sound engineers have matched the IR to the rig, they sound really like you want a digital modeler to sound.

The major advantage is also seeing what settings are used in the chain down to the dials and sliders on pedals and in which order. You can apply these concepts to real rigs.

Awesome.More than a good set up for me and most smucks that play. Its the way of the world.Look at cell phones, people thought WTF when those come out now 5 year olds have them.Love tube amps but i cant afford the damn things and i sure as hell dont need to collect them and have them not get used. For my use, hell yes ill take the small flip the switch SS gear.My male ego is still in tack even they i dont have a Mashall stack.

I did't go quite all the way there, but I got one of these :

that'll do! ;)

I had the NUX Mg 300 for a spell as well.

Excellent tones looper drum machine wah-- dozens of amps and cabs -- and 100 or so effects -- all in one little spot

Personally I liked the tones (and the metal housing) of the AMpero (I have large dogs that occasionally BLUNDER into and onto things plastic wasnt really an option for my "environment" -- I live in a barn-- or at best a kennel-- lol)

The tech has advanced in MASSIVE strides over the last 10 years the quality of sound truly is close enough. There is law of diminishing returns -- do I have to have a 6,000.00 vintage tube amp to get "that precise tone" -- once a week for 15 minutes when all aligns and is right with the world and the dogs are asleep wifes at the store and I can crank the amp and GET THAT TONE..........

or can I spend 75.00 on a USED Line 6 HD300 ..... and get 90% "there" to that GOLDEN tone ..... anytime with the flip of a switch at a moments notice 247/ 365........... hhmmm ?????
these can be had for 75.00 to 100.00 if your lucky-- if not you might pay 175.00 all day long any day of the week --- either way -- boatloads of connectivity tons of tones

TO BE FARE --- I have tube amps -- I am WARMING ONE UP (fender bassbreaker -- yes I know the vintage guys dont count that as a tube amp -- but it is ) -- as Sunday is "REAL AMP" day on the farm-- where I play through single speaker mono -- tube or Ss cabinet amps "in the room" and they sound great -- but frankly the reproductive quality of the processors through the studio monitors in stereo --- sounds WAY MORE like ..... well the music I listen too that comes through a ss stereo system and studio monitors....... the amp in the room doesnt sound like Eric Clapton. Same notes but it doesnt..... the "Cocaine" model on the AMpero -- with a strat through the monitors sounds WAAAAAY closer to the tone coming through pandora of Claptons recording of cocaine on those same speakers.......... yep close enough is actually better than good enough IMHO .

While looking at videos of Mesa Boogie amps, hearing sounds I liled, I thought I'd try to get ad close as possible with the Quilter. In the process I learned a lot about my amp, I also learned that it gets me 80% of the way, for 25% of the price.

WOrking gigging local popular musician -- one man band/entertainer right in ol Tampa Fl.

Necropost. Dovydas now lives in the Los Angeles area

This little box does everything. Very powerful. No regret.
I did have the opportunity to get the bigger floor model at about double the cost but I don't need it.
