Best A-B-Y To Run Dual Amps:

I'm currently revamping my pedalboard (putting the Temple Audio Duo 34 I got from @RobV into action) to be able to add my Dunlop Wah and Boss Reverb Pedal, which currently don't fit on my Donner DB-3 board.

I'm seeking a quality A-B-Y that can be powered by my One Spot that will allow me to run my 1999 Marshall MG50 for "cleans only" and my Origin 50 for everything else.

I'm biased towards Boss Effects, so I was considering their LS-2.

Any feedback from actual use???

Here's the model I decided to run on my new pedalboard:

Here's the rundown:

"The ART COOLSwitchPro A/B-Y Switch with Isolation is a handy foot-operated box that lets you switch an instrument signal (guitar, bass, or keyboard) to either of two amplifiers or amp channels, A or B. The "Y" function sends the input signal to both the A and B outputs in parallel.

Switch-selectable features on the B channel add versatility to the basic switching functions. A high quality audio transformer can be switched in to provide isolation between the input and output signals. This helps reduce the danger of shock when the amplifiers are at a different potential. Also, this isolation, along with a ground lift function, helps to eliminate the hum caused by ground loops. A phase reverse function lets you make sure both amps are in phase..."

So, my plan is to run this box right after my tuner and before any FX. The 'B' amp will be totally clean with only on board reverb.

Is that an acceptable routing path???

Sure, if it meets your needs. That’s what matters.

For the multi-amp setup I’ve been designing, I’m doing things differently, but that‘s just me.

If the routing path achieves the results you’re looking for, it’s fine.

Two weeks ago, we played the Route 66 Car Show in Downtown Ontario. I used my 1999 Marshall MG50. I got so many compliments and questions about my clean tone, that I decided to use it as a part of my live rig full time for clean tones along with its on-board spring reverb.
