And the plot thickens... the guy from the "vintage" shop sent me the additional pictures I requested of all the components in the EMG Telecaster set they are selling. Here they are from different angles:




So... NO multipin connectors and the wire config coming out of the pups is as regular passive as it gets. However (not that it really means anything in the end), there is a battery terminal now, additional to the normal everyday telecaster-appropriate harness (minus the expected three-way switch).
NOW I am confused... I know that EMG makes or made passive pickups, but have not been able to find anything referring to passive pups on their website or even non-solderless options (maybe these are indeed real vintage EMG?). From what I've seen this seems like a solderable version of their solderless T-Set T Set. Opinions? Take it away!
