About 10 years ago, I purchased an IBANEZ S5470 from Sweetwater. For some reason I returned it a day later....maybe I couldn't get over the skinny frame, I don't know. I should have had my head examined, because it was a player, and I've regretted it ever since.

I thought about an S model for a decade now, but couldn't justify the purchase...Then it hit me. Sell something!! That's what I did. So for the last year, I watched Reverb for the rite grab. Then it came up. A used 2020, at half price! Purchased in AUG 2020...what's the catch? Bad neck, high action, Dagger marks?? Nope!!

This was my first experience on Reverb. The guy sent me the guitar 2nd day air. WTF!! I couldn't believe when it showed up at my door. I had the day off, what could be better. When I opened the case, I almost cried! This guitar is mint!! I picked it up, OMG low low action. A Player!! Now I did Cry! (Maybe...you can't prove it if i did)

Once we became friends, I took ol' Bluey outside for some fresh Air.

Very surprisingly, I like the middle single coil pick up the best. I've never said that b4 about a single. But I do, it's fantastic to my ears. It's a DiMarzio True Velvet .

As far as the 3 Ibanez, the white JS is the quietest. Very little annoying humms and hisses. Probably the best sounding overall.

That's the other positive issue. When I opened the case and strummed it, she was in tune...ok, the High E was a bit flat. That's it. I turned the fine tuner a touch, and it's been perfect since. That was the biggest surprise of all. This thang wont go out of tune. Not sure why the dogs howl when I pick....that's a separate issue.
