There are many good underrated guitars out there. I agree with much he said, Ibanez great guitars well made. The Japanese guitars you pay more but are well made . GL good guitar for the money solid player, one he didn't mention was Hamer a good well made guitar for the price. I played a Gretsch i believe was made in Korea was a sweet guitar. You don't have to buy from the Big name Manufactures anymore to get a good to very good quality guitar any longer , and for much less money. He mentioned some brands there that i have not had the privilege of playing that look very good. Dean guitars i am learning more from guys here like you Adrian, Don about them, if i come across one i will definitely try one out. The competition is thriving as we can see, and they are making more strides in the market. It pays to look around.

I dunno that I have experience with 10. What is considered unknown? There is not common.
My Goyas. L6-S copy and 12 string acoustic. Fantastic!

Ibanez Artist ARX500. Made in China, all wood including knobs. Maple binding. Beautiful, well made, nice playing. Weak pickups tho. The Prestiges are more, well, prestigious.






Yamaha RGX series. Rik Emmett's late 80s guitar. Cool whammy, no string cutting. 24 frets.
