Its very lively........the Panama is modeled after a 5F1 Tweed Champ, the Little Sexy has more of a Princeton vibe IMHO --- also it doesnt have the Panamas attenuation --- and this little brown box gets LOUD.

Owegi---are you SURE its just 5 watts?!?!?!?!?

How did you get the faceplate made?

What circuit we looking at some variant of 5F2A?
valve or ss rectified?

5 watts gets real loud in a home setting, but a LOT depends on the speaker.
Tube screamers, Rangemasters and/or other clean boosts/ OD come in real handy.
 
This is awesome! How-why did you guys keep this a secret? Please reveal the process by which you got this beauty!
 
Owegi will have to relay the story of her build. he did all the heavy lifting (as many here may know i HATE soldering) -- The cabinet was repurposed...the face plates where hand finished....name plate was made from Owegis skill and an old piece of clear binder material I had lying about.

It started with Owegi asking me what i liked in a tube amp----then a model appeared....then changes where made.....a very organic process/...... and once completed well --- i COULDNT let anyone else buy MY amp that my opnionated comments help to make lol

Mostly I BITCHED about what i didnt like and Owegi made an amp that was none of those things----- and it is AWESOME
 
Transformers are old very old--- like 1950s era. The whole unit started life as a radio as I recall......
I know he is currently in his mad scientist lab "repurposing" an old magnovox radio --- it looked like this last I saw it------

I am working on pics Grant......sound clip will suck as the SEXY doesnt have a line out and I dont have a decent mic. ---er well ANY mic for that matter----
