Last gear is finally here for the recording rack. Going to make a homemade hack em up rack. Pretty much have the mic's & pre's needed to cover things. Probably forced to get 8 in 8 out Interface for drums one day. Think we are at the end of the road of the great gear hunt. Had to get it in before the fixed type income of retirement brings. So much went out this year. Down to the basics now.furman (2).jpg

Both of the rolling racks, by my desk, are hacked racks. One is a converted optical shop storage display unit....it was mostly solid oak, and partly good, solid, 3/4 ply(the back). We were moving the store I was working in to a new location a few blocks away. Some things were deemed unnecessary for the move...I took a couple of measurements, and scoopEd it up, and into my vehicle.
The second one was a scratch build from some leftover plywood, casters, and rack rails, I had laying around...I went to Home Depot and found some good solid stair treads, and slapped it together.

I have a couple of store bought units too, but they’re geared more toward travel needs. I like the homebrew stuff more.
