Well I received the Taylor and it's just Beautiful! So shiny I can hardly get good pictures. The setup is flawless. Since it's a Sam Ash "Guitar of Distinction" they
make sure to give it a proper setup that would normally cost you extra! I decided to post in the Electric Guitar area because IMO it's more electric than Acoustic.
It does have a fairly loud unplugged sound and can be enjoyed without an amp.

So...here are my pictures. I'll try and get some sound recording later today or tomorrow before I leave for my week long trip.

There is only one negative I can find so far. The guitar is not cheap and it's made in the USA yet they sell it in a Gig Bag! WTF?

Did I mention I hate Gig Bags...

Nice. I was surprised to gee it had an unwound G string. More of an electric for sure. Have you tried the piezo pickup yet?

Yes, the piezo sounds pretty nice, but you can't select it all alone. It's only used in one position and it has the hidden Neck
Humbucker along with it. This combo is the most acoustic sounding playing electric. Not sure why it's not usable alone?

I'm really not sure it's even a piezo. They call it an "Expresion System". I can't find a picture of the internal humbucker anywhere,
but here is a picture of the "Acoustic Body Sensor". It's plugged into a pre-amp inside the body. The pre-amp runs off a 9v battery.

Just for an idea of the acoustic volume here are a couple really quick...and terrible recordings. There were done with the voice recorder on my
cell phone. Distance was about 5 feet away from the phone. Quality is not great and neither is my playing...

That is louder than I would have expected, and rather crisp. Very interesting guitar!

This is an interesting guitar, especially since I do not own an acoustic.
I can't play them because they are too big. This is small and sounds right.

It is very interesting because not only does it do unplugged acoustic well enough for a small room, but the electric sounds are fantastic! It's barely bigger than a Les Paul with a 24.75 scale
length and 12" radius. The weight is 5lbs on the dot. I need to get it home to my best amp set up and run it through my Helix. If everything goes well there it's staying for sure.

I like it! The second clip especially! The sound is pretty full considering the construction is pretty thin-line...I wouldn’t throw it out!

If I had worship team to do all over again and didn’t already have my Ovation with the piezo..... this would have been my guitar of choice. Awesome guitar. Keeper for sure!

I'll get some better clips up when I have proper time and recording devices. That was with my phone sitting in my office chair behind my computer.

I am truly amazed at how loud is is acoustically being such a thin body design!

Indeed! I look forward to more clips!

I alway have my eyes peeled for something with this functionality, and build style.
Kinda Godin, kinda hollow body, acoustic.
