Hot Rodding a DSL40C???

Thanks to my buddy Joe I have the settings to try and coax a plexi snarl from a dsl40c ‘s ultra gain 2 channel.
Gain 2.5-3.
Treble 4.5.
Mids6.
Bass4.
Volume 4-5.
Resonance 5.
Presence 5.
Reverb to taste
 
What I did is cheat (pun intended)
I used a vox tone lab, all functions off, to play through 2 amps.
From one dsl40c I have a instrument cable going fx send to instrument in on a lead 100 mosfet, on its clean channel,
So what you’re hearing is a total of two full stacks of MG cabs.

hey hey up my alley...my 100h same as 40c if i remember. My tech was challenged to make it plexi on Classic chan & 800&900 like on Ultra, Took 6 tries but, man what an amp..choke was added, taper pots,sozo caps. Value changes here & there. Wow did the classic chan respond to what he found out to do, called a Plexi mod. It now acts plexi like or dimed its hot plexi. The amp will NOT fizz at all...is it like older circuits? not quite but man the plexi mod channel can be run & boosted & it can cop my jmp50 tones pretty convincably, not quite the picking dynamics but for live work..darn close. The Ultra has a thump that is very 800 like & then..i love 900 SLX e34 & we took 4 tries, but got the leads to be so singing. In the Ultra, gain still wont over fizz & its usable the whole sweep. A bonus..the amp works at the infamous bedroom levels so well cause ofDSL100hg1 (2).jpgDSL100hg2 (2).jpg taper pots but man does it have some thump..
