I can attest that Iron Gear pickups sound really good. I have two Strat sets and a set of Humbuckers in my Agile LP.

I got my set of humbuckers from a guy named Goo. They are so good, I haven't put em in anything yet.
1 498T and one Lindry Fralin Pure PAF. I am kind of pondering a Jr type build like a Double Cut Jr. One ought to go real good in one and then maybe I can ponder what to do with the other.

For inexpensive humbuckers, my go to is used Duncan Designed. They sound very close to the actual Seymours they emulate.
I put a set of DD JB and Jazz in my son's no name LP and a set of DD Duncan Distortions in my Lesterish. His came out of an SG knockoff - free.
Mine set came from a seller on Reverb for $32 shipped.
I've tried Dragonfire Screamers...nope - way too harsh and yet dull at the same time, tried Tonerider Generators...better but no balls. DDs for me.

In my 2016 Gibson SG, I am using a Gibson 57 Classic +/Gibson Burstbucker Pro combination 180° out of phase
In my Von Herndon Double Neck, I am using a Kevin Taylor Erupter / Thro-Bak SLE-101 also 180° out of phase
In my 1987 Squire Stratocaster, I am using a Gibson 500T / Gibson 496R 180° out of phase
In my 2016 Gibson les Paul, the pickups are stock Gibson 498T/496R with no shielding and the stock PCB

I've been messing around with pickups - swapping magnets, removing and/or adding windings and changing the phase. I sent one to Adrian and have another one boxed up to go to Bear R.
