Oh Boy, Look what I found... CME Special SG's with T Tops

So what are the pinkish looking ones and the Olive greenish looking one? WHERE are they? Apparently they are in the lineup since I saw them on the CME site even though my initial link shows only 5 colors.

Those should be some nice and unique SGs at a fair price. Nice nostalgic, yet practical features. I wonder if quality control takes it up another level because it's a big-time dealer/limited edition production... :hmmm:

Walnut, ebony or heritage cherry would be cool. T tops are great pickups, really don't know why they aren't a regular Gibson offering. Cheers
+1 on this!

Just think of how many greats have played guitars with T-Tops! Angus Young, B. B. King (check out his live in Africa recordings on YouTube, great tone), Randy Rhoads (in his '74 Les Paul Custom), Jimmy Page; the list just goes on and on.

No doubt the reputation of the original PAFs has overshadowed a pickup that is truly great on its own, and not just another "descendant" of the almighty PAF.

MY very first guitar had uncovered T's on it. They were obviously far better than my beginner playing could take advantage of and sadly I sold it in 91. Having not re-acquired it, I did the next best thing and bought my Epi LP and then bit the costly bullet and bought the pair of T tops off ebay. Married the LP and PUPS and had a bone nut installed. Now I have a tone monster.

Also, just last year I added my 1976 Sg Std. It came with a matchup of a Neck Single coil EMG and a Bridge EMG humbucker but had the Original Tarbacks and electronics in the case. I reinstalled everything back to stock with the Tarbacks. This guitar sounds awesome now.
