ech...the PIO ones are stupid in a guitar since the dumb things can leak over time. A capacitor is a capacitor is a capacitor, they all do the same thing. The target audience for these "repros" is someone that cares about the looks in their fancy "repro" guitar and if they are dumb enough to buy them then Gibson will be perfectly happy to sell them.
 
Lina retired from Wesco a few years ago and when she worked there I got a few great deals.
I had a hard time with their in house numbering system. I paid her and went to the sales counter to exchange. I forgot to check out their tubes.

Ripping out bathtubs....building decks-- replacing shocks on vehicles-----large ---hammer wielding rip and beat and hammer type "handy"
soldering....tiny little precision micro work----not conducive to my "scope of ability"
welding-- 2 pieces of 2" pipe-- sure.....no biggie

soldering a new cap in a lester IN the CONTROL cavity---- pure HELL

- fine line dexterity is NOT my strong suit anymore (hence bass and previously drums preferences ) -- I used to shred -- now -- I aspire to shred--
Essentially
5 broken wrists 1 crushed left hand -- every finger has been broken at least once on both hands (Except the middle finger on the right hand -HA!-go figure) -- and the crushing of both the right metacarpal and trapezium bones -- plus arthritis-- and carpal tunnel issues means -- dexterity is LIMITED-- to try and hold solder and wires and make tiny little precise maneuvers in a control cavity ---- cant do it-- can work post hole diggers all day long -- swing a hammer-- bench press 250lbs-- etc........ though after those activities-- I cant even write my name for several hours----Im assuming some nerve issues exist as well.
