NG Project!

I would like to decorate the headstock, but I am not a particularly good graphic artist. Any decal ideas for this one?

I was hitting my head against a brick wall with the same problem last week. In the end I chose what "words" I wanted given lack of artistic ability. Then put the words into Word program and went through way too many different fonts until I found what looked OK. Next I used the packing tape and water method to make water-slide decals and while not finished off yet it looks promising.

Thank you!

Not my call on the bolt-on. I bought the body, then re-finished it (twice!) However, I do note that ALL Tom Anderson guitars are bolt on. In my opinion, they make just as good a guitar as a set neck, but you can take them off to fix them, shim them if necessary, or swap them out using only a screw driver

And oh I forgot to ask you Ray I noticed you have no screws holding down the back wooden cover-plate for the controls...is it magnetically stuck on or glued on?:hmmm:

Brilliant video gasket...that is such a simple method I never knew of!

You can either put the cheque in the mail or pay me via PayPal ;-)
Haaa haaa

Hope you use it some time. I've seen vid of people doing photographs using packing tape strips slightly overlapping each other. That would take extra coats of poly to make smooth put has potential.

I was trying to steer you away from a decal. That's why I suggested a plaque of some type. When it came to finishing off my PGK SG Junior kit, I wanted to put the name: Norton on the headstock as a badge or like a car emblem. So I thought of Norton the motorcycle and the graphic style that it's written in. I found a source that makes the "Norton" logo on a pin badge. The actual Norton word was riveted to a backplate that incorporated the pin to the whole badge. Grounded off the rivet heads and the backplate fell off. Then grounded down the rest of the two rivets till they were level with the backside of the lettering. A little glue... and voilà:

I wish it was a little bigger, but it was the best I could find. I figure with the initials of RVA, that you should be able to find something similar that you can adapt to any of your builds.
