So Anyway...

I'm a DIY type too. We are having 4 custom doors (fiberglass doors with composite frames) installed next month and I needed 10 new locks. Of course I want them all keyed the same. Local locksmith wanted $15/per. Watched a YouTube video on re-keying Schlage locks. Looked really simple. Bought a pin set on eBay and just re-keyed them today.

And your DIY cost was?

So anyway... I woke up at 5 am and started transferring one of my clients web sites to another server. I also made a full backup of this TTR site. Around 11 I went to work on my car fixing it up where it needs some attention. One of the many items on my car to-do list is to repair the drip moldings on the roof. The rubberized coating was deteriorating and replacement cost for this dealer only item was over $300 for the pair.

I figured that I might as well take a stab at fixing these up. What did I have to loose? I pulled the passenger side off.

I used my orbital sander and removed the offending peeling rubberized coating from the aluminum underneath.

Today I applied the new black finish to one of the drip rails...

It's not perfect like new, but one hell of a lot better than it was.

So, anyways....I still dig listening to Jerry Lee Lewis...I especially like the time he set his piano on fire and Chuck Berry refused to go on after him...

No video (I have found) exists of the actual event, but this clip is based on the actual event and is faithful to eyewitness accounts:

The actual event is still much debated. Lewis father in law who was also his Bass player at the time says it never happened.
Lewis himself has both denied it and said it was true...I guess you had to be there.

Chuck Berry mentioned the event in an interview I saw once...Hmmmm...I would take a Lewis performance over a Berry performance any day.

So anyway, it's been 8 days since I played an electric guitar and I'm freaking out!!!

I haven't gone a single day without playing in a long time....and now 8.
Tomorrow I'll be plugged in.

HELP ME!!!!!!!!!

I last played an Acoustic 3 years ago in a recording session. Before that, it was a 1998 recording session at Buck's studio...I have no feelings for acoustic guitars...
