Photography, wildlife and more

This is why i dont throw chicken bones and pizza scraps or food scraps outside cause the coons and opossomes be in your yard round here

It's the rabies that are scary. When I moved in my house in 2010, my wife called me, frantic. She was traped in her car because a rabid raccoon was going nuts in the yard. I was 40 minutes away, so I told her to call animal control.
They were very responsive, and a guy quickly showed in his truck. The guy got out, carrying a shotgun, and walked over to the coon in my front yard. Bang!!! He blew its head off. He went to his truck and got some sort of solution and poured it all over the crime seen. He then grabbed the carcus, got in his truck, and left. My wife was stunned!!

My wife called me, to tell me about the crazy event she had just witnessed. I told her, welcome to living in the woods.

Woods HEll.......here is a story for ya.

The owners of a large furniture chain live here in Lakeland....(the first store was opened in Mulberry Fl. where headquarters still are) and -- as a matter of fact--- one of the children of the founder goes to the Shephard Road Church ---(when I said "children he is older than me) not 3 miles from my house-------one Sunday morning i was Stopped on the road in front of the church for traffic------I see that fella get out of his car at the edge of the parking lott----he turns and walks back to the car reaches in .......turns back around walks over to the edge of the lot and SHOOTS 3 times .........kicks something with his foot------ then picks up a SNAKE and tosses it in the drainage ditch ----gets back in his car and pulls up to the Church......Happened faster than I could type it------

We are in the county--- so--- HEY you wanna shoot a snake--- shoot a snake! .............Swampneckistan..........YOU gunna see some poop 'round here!

should be our chambers slogan

I dont he probably does!

This place is like Ritz Carlton meets Meth Lab meets Wild West --- with constant 98% humidity ---- gotta love it

I knew a guy like that and i sampled way to much of the product. Its bad news man. This was 27 years ago.Im one of the lucky ones that quit. So sadly i can speak from experience.

This morning, I got to watch this young 1 1/2 year old whitetail while I drank my coffee. It was an enjoyable, quiet time...My favorite part of the day.

This youngin appeared to have a nasty wound on lower rib cage. Seems healed, and the deer moved about unhindered. Probably explains why this deer is skinnier than normal......who knows, but she looked healthy otherwise.

I think that snake likes you Robert. If you keep catching it, and releasing it in the same spot....it’s gonna keep finding you, and one day you might get bit. ;)

The hobby demands much caution. I stated catching them when I was 8. I was never bitten while handling them. However, I was bitten on the right hand in 1991 while gathering firewood. Go figure.

Thanks bro....no, I haven't entered any. I have thousands of pics, a few really good ones. My wife wants me to enter them at a local fair. Every year she sees the winner, and says "see, you would have won"!! Obviously she has a biased opinion.... But I do think id be in the running. I have a couple animal pics that I think are amazing.

A few years ago, I would pull up to this field every single day after work, waiting for a coyote. I was in disbelief when it actually showed. I snapped 10 thousand pics real quick..I couldn't believe it. Even had great light, which is rare for coyote. And do you know, my disappointment when I got home to review them.....they all sucked. I think I was so nervous, I rushed and shaked or whatever I did. I would rather just enjoy the moment sometimes, and not have a camera.
