Lets get to know the Retirees

My mum retired from a professional position 28 years ago when she was 60.
She invested in safe places, one was a life annuity that paid acceptable interest at the time but had a 5% increase for earnings locked in each year. Last time I did the sums she was getting over 50% PA return on her original investment. Every year they send a letter requiring proof of life, they hate her, she loves them :-)

IMG_7632.JPG I quit because I hate you. I retire after 62. If it counts as a retirement, I retired every year since 2003. I wasn't over even 50 but I had it. When I worked over seas with Doctors Without Boarders we ran things like a machine. Few questions and I see I fix, no money no insurance no lawyers.
Administration is choking us now. I retire every year when I see my insurance cost. I never had a single claim against me. Last year I got stuck with the title of surgeon and it went up to $31.000 bucks. I have to pay for the guy that screws up. Yes the ones in the tub. I was told a butcher, a baker and a candle stick maker.

It all comes down to, how long are you going to live?
https://www.death-clock.org/

That calculator gives me 88 years.

Hmphh......

Okay...IT'S ON!!!

I'm gonna beat that thing!

One question it didn't ask is if you've taken the pick guard off of your Les Paul. I'm pretty sure that will reduce your life expectancy.

(Smitty scores with a thread merge!!!)

I hate to be a worrier, but this website now has your date of birth, height and weight. I have heard a rumor that it is not good to share your personal data on the internet. I know it does not have a name, but it does have an IP address. Please stop using this thing.

There is already so much of our personal information on the web that this little thing isn't going to mean a thing.

...besides...Experian is giving it away for free.

Have you ever Googled yourself? You'd be amazed at what you can find...

Oh no!!!! I hope that this does not let people know how many guitars I own!!!

Ray has a good point.
No good reason for a bunch of people who all have expensive guitars in our homes
to be putting all that information in one place. The site may be run by a burglary ring.
Hey, you never know.

I have actually gotten phone calls like this one.

"Hello"
"Good afternoon. I'm from Acme lifestyles.
We're taking a survey to determine the average
amount a family spends on home electronics.
Do you own any of the following:
