That’s one of my favorite Tee shirts. I’ve been reading the posts here for a week or so, and you guys seem like a great (and small) group of knowledgeable gearheads. So I’m jumping right in to see what I can learn.

Me, I bought my first POS guitar from a mall in NJ back in 1975 when I was in college at Drexel University in Philly. Being dirt poor in school, I was looking for cheap entertainment, and that $59 spent lasted quite a few years.

Moved to So CA in 1976, and found a few friends that played acoustic sitting around in our living rooms. So, having a real job by then, I bought a couple of Takamines (6 and a 12), then a LP and it’s been a disease ever since.

To quote Groucho Marx “I don't want to belong to any club that would have me as a member”, but what the heck, I’ll probably post some stupid stuff and make dumb comments. I have thick skin, and I plan to learn a lot along the way. So here goes….

We might not get them all but we get the best. I have to thin things out, I forget what is in what case. I really have stacks of guitars and up at out studio I have more stuff.

Geroges Music in Orlando had one a while back but it maybe gone-----SMitty (a fellow miscreant hee) and myself saw it wiff our own 4 eyes....;)

Welcome --- you sound like you are as sick as the rest of us---- congrats---it beats GOLF as a hobby ----

Yeah, I look every now and then but no joy. Hitting a white ball around with a club does nothing for me; but picking up a strat and wailing away with no one around is nirvana.
