Bands that were an influence on your style of music 60s&70s

To steal a quote from Taj Mahal: I got more heros than Wild Bill Hickok had notches on his belt.

There are so many great ones from the '60s and '70s, but the ones that have influenced my actual playing style the most are definitely these guys:

Peter Green
B. B. King
J. Geils
Eric Clapton
Duane Allman

B. B. King started out before the '60s, but his most influential work is from that decade, so I'm putting him in there anyway.

Now when it comes to guitar heroes that I really love but don't show as much in my personal style I have to mention Edward Van Halen and Angus Young. Great players that have inspired me immensely. Both emerged on the scene in the '70s.
 
First and foremost, Rush. Alex Lifeson's playing and tone on All The World's A Stage completely rewired my perception of rock guitar. It's really still my reference point to this day, and informed my actual playing much more than any other band/guitar player.

Beyond that, I figure everything you hear influences you a bit, whether you realize it or not, but the big obvious ones for me are:

The Beatles
UFO
Scorpions
Kiss
 
I played Classical music from age 4 Violin first 8 hours per day practice 3 two hour lessons per week Later I wanted to play guitar just to defy my father it worked I did get 9 private lessons
from Andre Segovia ( Make every note count ) Andre said. Then in 1968 I went to see the Door's that changed me for life. Then Jimi Hendrix never did see him live. John Kay got me into Black Sabbath. Ronnie Montrose Rick Derringer way underrated players. That said I'm onto Drums. I get stuck playing guitar in bands. It's all fun.
