Are those .45s? How do you know it's wrecked? Could have new sound. Besides, I know those stickers look really real. Had some on my '77 Bronco. Freaked my ole man. But he was a dumbass.
It's a .38 from a bad neighborhood. Mostly black peoples that hate white guys that come by to entertain them. Oh that is not my guitar and I would never go to a black part of town. Nice white guy just trying not sell drugs, New Port cigarettes and Henecey Cognac or even Martel get shot for the errors of mercy. It air me babe.

Just finished this one up today. I actually bought the guitar almost a year ago but finally threw in some inexpensive mods simply out of boredom. It is a Epi LP Special ll.

GFS Dream 90s
Wilkinson Tuners
GFS Roller Bridge
Gretsch switch
Tele Chrome/rubber o-ring knobs. "really nice"
The wiring was a absolute nightmare because I had a bad ground but finally found it and its sounding good.....

IMG_0863.JPG I have a set of P90 dog ear that have been sitting in my pickup drawer a long time. I have to low price 335 or 133k Jay Turser that I really like. I want to put the P90s on it and it will be like a Casino. I will have 6 millimeters of routine on each side of the pickup area. The hand held router can get away from me at times. I cut bone nuts with it but this is pushing my skill level up to an unknown place.

Texred,,,,,

wanna try some P90 soapbars for cheap???
80.00 and I will throw in the guitar ;)

Nice one, John

That is correct. I'll spare the techno-babble, but there are a few very distinct differences in construction between a P-90 and a Strat-type single coil pickup.
I've learned the answer!! On single coils they wrap the magnet around the posts {?} a million times; on P90 they pull it out after half a million times part way through and continue on to the million times, right? Yes, I know it's now a million . . .

Ummm....no!

You're pretty ambitious with all that talk of millions!

Anyhoo...

To be clear, P-90s actually are single coil pickups. And, the typical Stratocaster type pickup is a single coil. The defining characteristic is that they are both made with...wait for it...a single coil!!!

In a P-90, there are six steel screws (called "pole pieces") in a plastic bobbin. The wire is wrapped around the bobbin, surrounding the screws. There are two magnets underneath the bobbin, which straddles both magnets. The screws thread into a steel spacer that is in contact with the magnets and conduct the magnetic field to the surface of the pickup, surrounding the strings.

Strat-type single coils are different. Each of the six slugs in the pickup is a magnet. There is no magnet beneath the coil. The coil of wire surrounds the magnets.

So, there you have it and there you are!

Ooooooooooohhhhhhhhhh. Million was arbitrary, but obviously I can't read, either. . . all that schooling . . .not guitar or physics or electronics . . .do you think you could rewire my brain?
Bummin again. Thanks again for your help, smitty. I am very embarrassed; good thing I'm used to it. This, this CREATURE is so foreign to me. . . that is the whole idea. Hay !! I got $38k left in lifetie of student loans, maybe I'll grab some some non-calculus based physics . . .that much won't pay for anything else. Except for one thing: educational related travel expenses = HD.

No need for embarrassment!

You're asking questions and trying to learn something.

That's what is important.
