Hi folks! As promised I am posting a thread about my new guitar.

I don't know how old it is but it is 5 or so years old according to my friend who sold it to me. This thing is MINTY!

It didn't come with a case but I bought a gig bag for it last week. I also bpught some Schaller strap pins so I can use my regular strap with strap locks.

I set it up with some 10 gauge strings, did the truss rod and dropped the action down some. HOLY COW! This thing practically plays itself now!

The neck pickup has a nice throaty glassy sound. It just sings!

The bridge pickup is clear, crisp and articulate. It strngs!

I can't wait to try it out with other musicians playing along. I want to get it louder so I can mess around with the sweet feedback this thing should create.

Surprisingly great. I paid $300 Canadian for it. Not super cheap but to me fair for this guitar.

Gorgeous guitar LOVE that color on the DOT most I see are Cherry (nice) but the tobacco burst is really nice ---or is that vintage burst? dunno but I like it!

I think it's called Walnut Burst or something like that.

I'm not a fan of black hardware but it seems to work on this guitar.

Thanks for the kind words guys. I really like this guitar. My buddy told me he had this guitar 3 years ago. I finally went and had a look at it last week and took it away with me. He bought it with the intention of learning to play but he never learned so it sat there with its original strings on it.

The neck was bowed and the action was high even by my standards.

Now the neck is straight and the action is way lower than my standards and I'm digging it!

Love that grain - congrats!!

The ribboned grain on the back shimmers in 3-D when you move it around in the light. I really like the look of this guitar.

When I googled this guitar before I bought it, the photos I found on line didn't do justice to the guitar in real life.
My cell phone pictures definitely don't do it justice either.

Been top wrapping for almost 30 years. Even if it's not needed I still do it. Habit I guess.

Great looking wood on that guitar and with the satin finish looks great! I also top wrap my strings for easier bending and tone transfer.

Did a serial number check. Apparently this one was made in April of 2007.

Man it's in good shape!

By the way, anyone got any DIY tips for how to tighten the input jack? Remember I'm cheap so I don't want to buy any Stewmac specialty tools at this moment!
