This reminds me ---though I practically LIVED in one all through the 80's ----when i wasnt wearing a KISS t-shirt--- I presently own ZERO Led Zeppelin T-shirts-----OFF TO EBAY THIS MUST BE REMEDIED!

Don't get upset but the SUPRO Thunderbolt is a total myth. The truth be told ever seen an Axis Lead amp every Led Zeppelin recording used this Axis amp.

See the real door stop amp from Olympic Studios. Only 3 ever made and Jimmy owns all 3.

Jimmy's former amp tech sent this photo why former Jimmy no photos no friends

Would love to know more about the amp and how it was used. There are lots of pics out there of Page in the studio rocking other setups (ex):

Was this thing in the booth?, used along with other amps?, inquiring minds man, fill us in.

As far as the Axis amp's go That's what I was told you wont find any photos

Axis Combo Amp

And the photo I posted does it look like a combo amp. And it is possible Jimmy was joking with me on the Axis amp's being used on recording all LP's

Prepare to be amazed. In particular, listen through the extended jams - especially the one in Whole Lotta Love - and listen to how he turns on a dime from one style to another and his sense of timing and dynamics. It's a clinic, and one that's backed up by the tone of a '59 Les Paul through a bunch of 100-watt Marshalls.

Back to the OP also - that is one heck of a nice sounding amp. Versatile too.

I just took a chance on a used one from a Goodwill store for $7.00 shipped.
I'm stoked!!
The CD not the amp. DUHhhh.

Ya I need more band Tees too.
I have an Iron Maiden "The Trooper" shirt somewhere in time between here and Japan.

Ha, now youve done it!
Tee shirt GAS!!
(wasnt there talk of TTR shirts at one time?)
(ducks and covers)

I just ordered this from Target, free shipping; the Stones tongue logo shirt for the missus, under $40. delivered.
I ordered in my size she like to wear my shirts around the house sometimes.

Digging into the early Zep tones and info, I don't think it was the Supro Thunderbolt. It was the Supro 1690T Coronado, a 35 watt 2x10 combo. But if the info I gathered is correct, Page had his modified as a 1x12:

A few years ago, Supro was revived and fully built in the good ol USA. And the Coronado was reissued.

Andy has good vibe going on one:
