The first any kind of forum on the internet that I ever joined was Everything SG in it's toddler(?) days. Or, early enough that there were not enough members to grab SG John. Mainly because my name is John and I like SGs. I had a '68 Junior and two '69 Standards at the time, along with many others. I've kept the name as I've travelled through several guitar forums since then just because I would like to keep the connections of people I seem to connect with on the different forums, and would like to not create confusion.

Oh , well . It’s dumb.
B = middle , Jam = James shortened Mor= Last name shortened. I thought it was funny to put the I in front of it at the time.
Later , my nickname at work was Morty

I've always read it as short for
"I Be More Jamming"

That's what I always thought, too. Cool to see what it actually is. :yesway:

Well..... Back in the beginning of time, one of the first albums I ever purchased was this one. Take note of the title. I'm so old that there was a time in history where there was no such thing as email. Upon the advent of email, the name I used was IbLive@whatever dot com. And I've been using it since for various things.

Now. On another forum, for awhile I had in my signature line Psalms 100:1. Look it up if you don't know it. Felt it was safe and non-preachy. Anyway, Had a troll sort of attack me for preaching. Including insinuating my forum name was some subliminal Christian message of being alive. I won't shy away from making aware my beliefs.... like mentioning being on worship team at my church for a time. I also don't preach here and certainly wasn't in the other forum. I did go ahead and change the signature line to the first one you see here (the one in red). And I explained what the IbLive stood for.... nothing more, nothing less.

PS: I believe when the troll came after me, I was actually using this album cover as my avatar, so there was a little bit of SMH reaction.
I remember you explaining the connection to Iron Butterfly sometime last year. Prior to that, I thought it was a clever anagram for "I Believe". (y)

Before old age and infirmaries caught up with us, my wife and I used to do long distance horseback riding out of ranches in the mountains of Pennsylvania and Colorado. A group of us would ride around 30 miles a day, stop and set up camp, and get up the next morning and do it all over again. The loop we did averaged about 150 miles. I don't know if anyone remembers the movie Hidalgo. Far Rider was Viggo Mortensen's indian name. I ve been told by a few people that I have a remarkable resemblance to him. So the nickname stuck.

How long have we known each other, like 15 years now? ...and I never knew that.

I'm glad I started this thread.
