Collaboration - Crawling - A Chester Tribute

Anyone want to do vocals, bass or lead? I am putting together a rhythm arrangement that I am getting more satisfied with, slower acoustic stylings, but on an electric.

2 vocal tracks are required as there are 2 overlapping singers on the track.

If not, I will make you all suffer my vocals and lead.

Let me know an I will forward you my noodlings thus far

Marshall and the Hartke have line outs I can run to the computer.
That will do it! Now all you need is an audio interface like this for $59

Amazon.com: Behringer Xenyx 802 Premium 8-Input 2-Bus Mixer with Xenyx Mic Preamps and British EQs: Musical Instruments

And free audacity software

Audacity® | Free, open source, cross-platform audio software for multi-track recording and editing.

And you can record the same way I do. You can add a Mic to this mixer down the road if you choose

This could be really really terrible! :D

But, making music is always good, so play on...

I could ask my wife if she wants to do one of the Vocals, but she will tell me to f.o.

The Behringer has many more inputs at a cheaper price (see above). It is a better choice IMHO. Everything I have put on the forum was recorded through it.
yeah but it has too many knobs and holes, it scares me.
I'm looking; its scaring me less at that price.

Ok I see where to plug in guitars and mics, but how do you get it into audacity?

I haven't used that one, but I like my little behringer interface well enough. To be honest most any interface you look at are going to have people who like it and who think it's junk. Last I knew Audacity still didn't use ASIO drivers, but barring using an ASIO driver Audacity should pickup your soundcard/interface and driver under Edit -> Preferences -> Devices. Audacity has been around for a long time and a lot of people use it, so there is generally a lot of free online help to get you going and learn things. I don't use Audacity any longer as my main recording software, but I keep in installed because it's still a great tool to have.

I'm seriously thinking about buying this right now.
Amazon.com: BEHRINGER U-PHORIA UM2: Musical Instruments
The line out ideally comes from the "emulated out" of the amp so that the amp acts like a monitor too. Check the back of the amp. Otherwise, you can plug the guitar directly into the behringer and monitor the playing withe the head phone jack on the Behringer. Audacity is the program that goes om your computer and which records your playing. It allows you to record multiple tracks, adjust levels, etc.

Great job on this song. You sing well, nice voice.

I've been looking at mixers, and recorders since you posted this thread. I like the zoom r16 & r24....there a few others that I like too. I'm debating if I want to make the investment. Your song is inspiring me in the investment direction.
