One guitar?

I only own three guitars… my Zencaster Strat, a Squier VM Tele I modded way out, and a nice jumbo acoustic. But I only play the Strat. I essentially play one guitar. In a way, it keeps me focused on the sound my hands are making, since the guitar always sounds the same.

Does anyone else have one guitar you always reach for? That when you go to play the guitar, it’s always that one?

Same.

I have 4, but only play the Warmoth parts-caster I built about a year ago. It's the perfect guitar for me, and for recording work.

The Wolfgang neck is the best neck profile I've ever played.
 
Today I have 7. One bass. 4 electric. And 2 acoustic. Hasn’t always been that way. Bought the two acoustic in 73 and 74. And that’s all I had till around 2007. So for all those years in between, my goto guitar has been an Ovation acoustic. It’s also the only one I would never part with.

I do tend to rotate. While I profess my adoration for my 83/84 Strat, with the Blackmore style scalloped fretboard…I have become a Gibson SG convert…Most often, I reach for any of my SGs…tough to call out a single favorite.

Oh…but then when I pick up my V….it’s difficult to put down…
Plus…Stetsbar. Got one on the V, and another on a SG…when I’m in the mood for a wigglestick…they’re the go to.

Edit: So…I guess that’s a no, from me.

I have 3 electric guitars, two acoustic guitars, three ukuleles, and two ukulele basses. My go to is an acoustic/electric solid mahogany baritone ukulele. Since I started playing and singing with my wife the guitars don't get much play time. Yesterday I bought a nice acoustic/electric tenor ukulele. I imagine it will become my number one as in September my wife and I will be teaching a beginner ukulele course. The baritone is tuned differently from the rest of the ukulele family so I wouldn't be able to show students how to fret the chords. My SG, Dot, and 12 string are up for sale. I'm keeping the Taylor GS Mini and the Gretsch archtop with a floating pickup.

I'm sure I could live with only one but not 100% certain which one I would keep if I had to make that decision. Probably my 2016 LP.
I do think I probably have more than I need (8 electrics, 1 acoustic) so have been considering some consolidation, but going to let that idea simmer for a while before pulling the trigger.
 
I've hoped that someone would ask this question. The obvious answer is, "The one I don't have."
I'm sitting here with 12 I can put my eyes on. There are several more in cases.
The closest one to my couch is my LP Gold Top. Without an amp it's kinda like MEH.
If I had to pick a "go two" it would either be my Epiphone Casino, or my Epiphone Emperor II Joe Pass model that I take out pretty often.
If the house was on fire and I could only save one, it would probably be "Joe".
EDIT: After my wife and dog, of course. :giggle:
