Which Guitar ( S) Of Yours Did You Buy After Just Seeing It? No Trying It Out, Just By Looking, Decided.

One I had been waiting for my whole life. My 70's reissue White Strat. Affectionally named "Woodstock".

A whole bunch…a lot of my favorites…not all…but some.
I’ll start with this…

…and then there was this…

…oh….and this….

(This one was an accident…put in a low-ball bid on the bay of e, and won…yeah…there was beer too)

I could go on…but it’s getting late here…

My guitar teacher at that time wanted to barrow $400.00 from me I asked for what a guitar my roommate Billy was in the same band
as my teacher Billy tracked it down showed up at my work and I gave him $400.00 cash that was 1984 still one of my favorite guitars
41 years later this July it will be 64 years old. I gifted Billy a 1973 Stratocaster for finding me that guitar.

I suppose the only guitar I have that strictly fits the definition of the thread title would be my Jackson. I bought it online from Sweetwater, so there wasn't even the chance to touch it before getting it.

Here it is in its current form. I have made several mods to it. I added additional volume and tone controls so I can adjust each pickup individually. I added a pickup selector switch in the base of the upper horn, and rewired the original pickup selector switch to be a coil split switch. Lastly, I did replace the pickups.

Honestly, it is now my most versatile guitar.

Next in line would probably be those guitars I bought with minimal play.

I bought my Washburn HB-30 from a Guitar Center after seeing an online advertisement. I was pretty committed to buying it when I went to the store.

The guitar is shown here with a fine Well-Hung strap:

I bought my American Deluxe Strat from an advertisement in Facebook Marketplace. I only did a quick look over of the guitar and I only did some brief playing when picking it up from the owner. Here it is:

Of course, I have other guitars which y'all have seen, but they don't quite fit the parameters of the thread title.

I bought my GG Charvel online after lusting after it for many years. I've owned Charvels before so I sort of knew what to expect and I'd read many reviews in terms of the neck size/shape so it wasn't a complete surprise when I finally had it in my hands. Overall it better than I could have anticipated so I've got zero regrets despite the "risk" of buying without trying.

I seen a picture of a Godin Strat Progression Plus, when they first came out. My local shop was waiting for them to come in, i didn't wait i just had them order me one, waited 6 weeks to get it, and it was worth it! Its a keeper.

I bought an Allen Woody short scale bass from Sweetwater and I had it Pleck'd.
I bought the case, the stand, and spare Rotosound strings.
3 easy payments.
I sold it  during the pandemic to cover the rent.

Now I'm thinking again  3 easy payments.
That really gets me started 3 easy payments.1744817639375.png Too many knobs, I hate that. Why couldn't they just put 4 knobs on it, and give it a rest?

My friend Reese that owned a few music stores retired I could play 10 of the same guitar and pick the best one then pay dealer cost
The Gibson rep was at Reese's store and measured my 1960 Les Paul Standard then ordered a copy from the Custom Shop
I paid up front they got the neck exact. I got 4 PRS guitars last year mail order they were not ever played used guitars two from dealers two from a private collector
the first PRS Brazilian rosewood neck and fingerboard Artist package 10 top that neck is smooth as glass next one I missed out on a 1999 McCarthy Brazilian
250 made I thought the price was high went to buy it the next morning gone I did get a 2004 McCarthy Brazilian Indian rosewood neck 500 made
that's my main player now and the Custom 24 with the Brazilian neck and fingerboard if I was to special order the two guitars new now it would cost five times the amount
of the used guitars I received

Because I have ordered a few used from Reverb I had no choice. I get along with most guitars they would have to be really poor for me to hate them.

I also ordered some from my dealer that I could return as required.
So thus we begin....

Ordered the Bengal Burst Modern Axcess Custom Shop from my dealer. It is a killer!
Also the Godin LGXSA. Neck a little thicker than I am used to but certainly very playable.

The 1960 Reissue is a Wildwood guitar. Stunning guitar, I had to have it. Ordered from Wildwood in Colorado.

Same with the Black Cracked Mirror Iceman from my local dealer. Again, the option was there to return it.
