The Muse I Adorn

Forum statistics indicate it that there are 466K+ posts for me to read. That's a lot for a newcomer like me to read. It's gonna take me a while to catch up.
Thanks for bumping the thread! (y)
Don’t sweat the details. I’ve been here since about a month after Grant, Adrian and Ray started this thing. I haven’t even tried to read everything.

Was working on a tune last night. Messed around with both my blue Strat (complete with a Well Hung Strap) and my Bass (not Well Hung but does have Brad's strap buttons).

Can’t blame you for buying this one! Congrats…
It kinda fell into my lap, much cheaper than I expected…
That looks like much fun!!! Score!!!
This neck is very similar to the neck on my (Fiesta Red) Stratocaster, albeit with a maple fretboard instead of the Strat’s rosewood.
We tried to warn you we’re a bad influence. But if you’re falling off the wagon at least it’s a cool piece.
I’m my own worst influence…but yeah, you’re right!

I’ve been wanting a Telecaster Custom since 1989–a passion that reignited when playing one that belonged to a bandmate’s in 2001–but things never lined up to where I had the money when I found one for sale…

This is a MIM reissue, but it checks all the boxes, and the non-CuNiFe/faux Wide Range Humbucker actually sounds pretty close to the original real deal; much better than the ones in my MIM ‘72-reissue Telecaster Deluxe.
It happens
It does…I’m not lamenting very hard, :ROFLMAO:
Frickin' cool, congrats!

I think I’m gonna name it “KEEF”

¡Gracias!

I converted my Black Strat to an H/S/S after many years of deliberation. I kept the Lace Gold Sensors for middle and neck and added a Seymour Duncan Distortion for the bridge. I had tried a Dean Pat Baker first. It came in at 17.3K and tried to rip the roof off my neighbors house. Way too hot and not much articulation. Next I tried a leftover from my Epi Explorer. Nice and articulate but not enough guts. So I rolled the dice to try the Seymour Duncan's. Glad I did. Just the right mix for me.
