Boredom buy yesterday - should be here Monday.
MG15CF chassis only.
2 channel / no reverb or effects version.
Supposedly functional as the seller posted a vid of it working as is.

Dude needs a lesson on how the gain knob works.

I threw a low-ball offer on it and he accepted without a counter...

Got some possible homes for the little fella.

On the left is an empty 1x10 Park cabinet from a 15w bass combo chassis that now lives in the home made blue mini stack at my son's house.
On the right is an empty MG 1x8 combo that I bought for the parts - I got some corners and feet to bring it back if we go that way.

I'm thinking about options.
Table saw may be involved. :hmmm:
Perhaps a 12" speaker from the stash?

Open to suggestions...

What's funny is I have the cab it came with, but I trashed the amp and turned it into a 10" ext. cab that I don't use anymore. I don't know if I still have the original baffle, but I could still have it stashed somewhere. :hmmm:

I wish I'd kept the amp. It sounded a lot better than the Lead 12 I bought a couple of years ago after all the hype on MF. That thing was bright and harsh and after a speaker swap it just died on me. I might try to fix it someday, but after what I heard from it I doubt I ever will. The MG sounded way better.

I believe the Park cab I have is the same size as the Lead12.
One thought rattling in my noggin is to make that into a 1x12 and a head shell from the MG cab for a little mini 1/2 stack.

That would be cool! What I was actually getting at, but never said, was that I'd be happy to send you the cab if you need it. I wouldn't want anything for it. I just don't know if I still have the original baffle, but if you want I'll look for it.

Wow! I had a Lead 12 (early model) for many years…long before I became aware of any “hype” about them. I wrote many songs with it, and an old Fender Bronco (that someone gifted to me at a party, because I could make pleasant noises with it)… I gave the Lead 12 to my guitarist’s son for his HS graduation. He still has it, and (afaik) still likes it. I have many pleasant memories of that little POS…. It could make some really good noises. That said, I wouldn’t trade my current armchair amps for one…but I wouldn’t mind having one either. I am rather easy to please though…

All I can think is there must have been something wrong with it all along, but without ever having played one before I can't be sure.

Thanks for the kind offer. :yesway:

The 1/2 stack plan would require taller baffle and back panels on the Park cab.
I'd be chopping the MG cab down to make the little head shell.
I may have what I need in the wood pile.

Here's a "Plan B" brainworm for ya"...
Combo + extension cab. :hmmm:

Chassis in the park cab with a 12" speaker (tight fit, but do-able).
Convert the MG cab to a 1x12 (another tight fit, but do-able).
I'd still need to cut new baffles and back panels.

Grills are getting re-done regardless.
Got some RI pin stripe laying around.

My cab is 13 3/4" wide inside dimension. Chassis mounting holes on top are 11 1/4" wide x 5 1/5" deep.
Just checking some dimensions.

My MG cab is the same width as yours - Park cab is slightly narrower.
Front opening on the MG is 12-1/4", so the chassis face will fill the opening on either one.

I doubt the mounting holes will line up, but the old ones are easy to cover.
I'm leaning towards chopping up the MG cab to make a little head shell & convert the park cab to a 1x12.

Going to make sure the amp is actually functional before the cabs reconstruction commences.
It's still on track for USPS delivery tomorrow.

Thinking about the pinstripe cloth. :hmmm:
There's a front or back look - the Origin amps use the back side.
Also, horizontal or vertical?

Cleaned up some silver piping I took off the 2556A cab reno.
Got plenty to go around the cab and trim a little head shell panel.

Since the Park cab is taller than it is wide, I was thinking vertical stripes - kinda like EC Collins cloth on a big cab.
