Did you notice I didn't mention the Standard in my list? That's only because of the 70s Deluxe. Same price, but for some reason I'd rather go with the Deluxe. Of course if it comes right down to it I won't be picky.

The guitar I discussed in post #71 - I tried loosing the strings and putting some pressure on the neck while trying to get a little more on the truss rod. NG.
I tried 9-42 strings and now the relief is @ .009", and once dialed in for action and intonation it plays great!

I'm pretty sure that only works with single action truss rods. This one is dual action / there is no nut to add a washer- but thanks both of you for the suggestion.

Oh ok forgot about those.Ive seen online videos where they clamp a board to the neck to try and level it out. Think i read where you got it sorted out.

I have only one guitar that came with P-90s. It no longer has them, they've been replaced by P-90-sized humbuckers. Now I can actually use the guitar.

Big fan of P-90s. I recently sold one of my P-90 guitars, but only because it was an import Epi LP Special that was pretty redundant of my 3 USA Specials (2 Gibbies and a Hamer USA). Here's a shot of the P-90 guitars including the now-sold Epiphone LP Special.

Thanks. The SG Junior is a Chibson, full disclosure. Under other circumstances, I wouldn't go that route, but some buds opened up a tiny music store and I wanted to support them, since otherwise the main option locally is GC. Here's the photo I saw of it online in the shop, before I bought it.

Actually, the shape of the scratchplate is kinda wonky. Am considering getting a more accurate one, but there's no guarantee it would fit correctly. Given that it's a cheap knockoff, there's no real point, although I know lots of people in the modder's camp (I'm not) would disagree.
