Some might say a pick is a pick.

Been using these guys for probably over 30 years now

I wasn't happy anymore with the pick I had been using for many many years so I thought of a system to get my next one. I bought about 100 picks of different types and thicknesses and put them in a baggie. I pulled them out one by one blindly and played with each one then threw it into a "possible" and "not possible" pile.

I then repeated this with the ones in the "possible" pile to zero in on them. Into a new two yay not nay piles they went. Repeat, repeat.... until I got down to the best one that I REALLY liked.

Here's the kicker ...I threw them all in one pile and did it all over again. Lol. I wound up with the same pick the second time. At that point I knew we were meant to be. I never looked at the picks any time until it was the last one I was holding.

Here's my collection. Many to pick from.... see what I did there? I still prefer the Fender Mediums at the bottom of the photo. Habit most likely rather than they work better.

The seriously sad thing is. Somewhere back in the 80s I bought a package of 12 or so. I still have 5 of them. Lost a few. "Loaned" a few.... which of course never came home. Have actually broken a couple. I've had and used them long enough a couple of them have actually taken a slight curve that corresponds with my thumb. And its enough I can feel it when I play and have to flip it 180 degrees so it "fits" the thumb and finger properly. Yes.... I am a nut case.

Ego picks back in business Geoff, new owners.
Ego Picks would be fun.... But considering I'm still working on a package of 12 picks bought about 40 years ago..... and the minimum order is 100. My ego doesn't need fed that badly.
