I caught shrapnel in the knuckle of of middle finger of my fret hand back in the 70's. Docs didn't get it all out first time, and I got osteomyelitis. Ate away some of the bone & cartilage.

It will heal, but don't push it !

One time I had a knee surgery (#3 of 8) and played in a basketball tournament 2 weeks later. I paid for that...still am.

The latest addition to the V arsenal, I need to grab a new pick guard, it’s broken on the input jack area.
And missing some screws, otherwise it is in pretty good condition.
