Which guitar do you pick up first after you've been away?

I was away from home on business for four days. When I got home I couldn't wait to play my guitars. I picked up my SG Special and spent an hour or so before I turned to my other guitars. I realized this is always the first guitar I pick up when I've been away. What is your first guitar you play after you've been away?

Well its Gibson scale length,in fact if you look on Precision Guitar kits web page there JRs dont look like this anymore. They got a nasty gram from Gibson i heard.Yes the Filtertron is great.I bought it new and had it laying around and decided to try it one day.Love it.And for anyone whos never tried a Gretsch Filtertron i say to try one.68$ Thanks for the compliment on guitar Kerry.

Oh ya the tailpiece studs are angled on these like the original 61 Les Paul JRs. After 61 they were straight in line .

I never go away, I've always been here.

Usually I have in mind what songs or tones I want to work on and that dictates what guitar I pick up, and sometimes I just want to play a particular guitar and just have at it.

What in sam hell is that 8 string Fender Don ??? Ive never seen such a thing. Nice PRS by the way.

Yup, it's an 8-string Fender Mandocaster. They're getting a bit hard to find these days. Plenty of 4-strings around.

For a bit i thought it some odd model like a BC Rich 8 string i seen in a music store.Once i took a second look i realized it was a Mandolin of sorts.Very nice.

Up until a couple of days ago, it was Burla, my highly modified Epiphone G-400. Now there is a new love in my life. Bird, a PRS SE Custom 22 Semi-Hollow Tobacco Sunburst. I'll make an official NGD page soon as I get time.

What ever is on my stand.....I love my SG & because I do it resides in the case when I am not home, would hate to come home and Dawn or Jack knocked over:cautious:
