DIY LP kit

Gonna look great when you’re done. Enjoy the process.

Years ago I bought an already assembled SAGA Tele kit. Sanded it to bare wood since the original builder did a horrific job of painting it. Stained and multiple coats of tung oil later…. I had a player.

Thanks. I'll have a lot of fun doing It. It needs proper size holes on bridge and pots because they are small. I ordered some parts. Stock guitar nut it's not a premium one. I'll Install a good one. I'll build using 3 ply pickguard plate for togle switch cover and pots cavity cover because they are not standard size. I'll build headstock veneer using an acoustic guitar black 0,85mm pickguard.

On the Tele I refinished, I did drill the body and install a bridge for thru body strings. Also installed a 4-way switch. Oddly..... it plays and sounds pretty good for what in essence is a cheap guitar. And I like the 4th position on the switch. Use that a lot.

Wow that's looking good! Did it come with the neck already glued in and everything aligned right? What kit is it?
Yes, neck was already glued. All it's perfectly aligned. Fretboard after hidratation It's better than my LP's. Neck, frets, ... It's ok. Just guitar nut it's low quality. It's one pice mahogany body and two pieces maple top but on pots part It's a thin maple but It has a reinforcement One pice mahogany neck. Trus rod like Gibson's as the angle degrees between neck and body like Gibson's have. It's better than I expected. I will see when I tryed If it's a good one. It's from a 25 years experienced factory building guitars on China.

And it didnt cost 5 grand either im sure.
Yeah! A way more cheaper than 5 grand But I can undestand why Gibson are so expensive. I will need polish frets really to get a Gibson frets feeling. Also the neck it's so straight. I loosen up guitar truss rod but I can't get a proper curve on the neck. I guess neck needs some time with string tension.
