Soliciting opinions. Should I or shouldn't I?

I have a 2019 Les Paul Special.

I really like how it feels and how it plays. What I don't like is the P-90's. I have never liked P-90's but I have owned three guitars with them over the years just trying to figure out why everyone loves them so much. So, to make this guitar usable for me, again because I really like the feel of the neck, I am planning to drop some P-90 sized humbuckers into it.

So here's the question: At present I do not own a guitar with a wang bar on it. Since I am already planning to soil this thing with some 'buckers, I am also thinking of putting on an ABR bridge (using conversion posts) and a Bigsby B-5,so I would have at least one guitar with a wiggle-stick.

Whaddya all think?

Have you ever had a guitar with a Bigsby?

I think Humbuckers would be the way to go in that guitar, I am a P90 fan myself the reason being my Godin Core CT has Seymour Duncans made to Godin specs. They are a different beast compared to the Gibson P90s which I am not a fan of.

Nice looking axe Gary! I am sure Humbuckers would work very well for you..

Agreed. That mod is happening for sure. Just wavering on the Bigsby.

I love my P-90'S guitars, they have a bright attack and strong bite but you must be an aggressive
player'cause they can pick up the most tiny mistake you make.

What's weird is I find them to be mushy. Guess it's just me, because most other people seem to describe them as you do, but I find them imprecise and messy sounding.

Have you ever had a guitar with a Bigsby?

Yeah, but not for a long time, but yeah on the first SG I ever owned. The only time I actually needed a vibrato was in the '80s, and for that I used a BC Rich STIII with a Floyd to do the cheese-metal divebombs. After that It's been Les Pauls and blocked Strats.

Does this guitar have the Gibson pickup adapter plate under those P90’s?

If you’re open to Dimarzios, they currently make at least five different versions of P90 sized humbuckers. Cream or black covers. Nickel, gold, or black pole pieces:

I’m wondering if the mounting holes and screws for the Dimarzios line up with the adapter plate, if your Special has them:

It has the plates. Evidently they will work with the DiMarzio PuPs.

Larry DiMarzio is a dick for the cream bobbin thing, but they do make some great sounding pickups, so I will probably go that way. I have never liked the sound of Duncans but do like DiMarzios.

No musshiness with these Gary, good bite, clear..

I rally like these GFS VEH pickups in this guitar over the other ones. Gary check it out..

Sounds good. Same problem though - not going to rout it for full-size 'buckers.

Yeah Gary needs P90 sized. I got a mini hum replacement for my Deluxe but haven't tried yet.

Nice pickups, but I am not going to rout the thing, just find a P-90 sized replacement. Probably will go with the DiMarzios, despite the fact that Larry DiMarzio is a practicing dick.
There are other options other than the Dimarzio, TV Jones makes one, GFS makes one. I had the Lindy Fralin hum cancelling p90 which really is just a humbucker but sounds great. That new Duncan Silencer looks pretty cool. But I have quite a few SD pickups that I like. Also GFS makes mini humbucker pickup rings for a p90 route that are pretty easy to install. Just did it myself and that guitar just kills now.

May I ask, what it is about P90s you guys don't like? Just curious what your reasons are...specifically.
