NAD coming soon!

The JCM800 sound is definitely balls to the wall. Hope you can crank it to fully appreciate it.

one thing I inquired about in the SC20 thread on MF was if it sounded good at low volumes and it was a yes by several guys. I’m sure I’ll get to crank it some. I’m going to have the house to myself for 2 weeks next month, it’s going to be fun!

I've wanted one of these ever since I heard about them, but only now have the means to get one. I found this one listed this morning, I was expecting to have to pay a lot more even for a used one so I and couldn't pass it up. Everybody complains about it only having a 10" speaker, but that's the main reason I want the combo.

Is there enough room to modify it for a 12" baffle board?

I don’t know, but if I wanted a 12” speaker I would have bought the head. I said right in my post (that you quoted) that the reason I want the combo because it has a 10” speaker. I have a 112 cab that I plan to plug into along with the internal speaker when I’m at home, but when I go on a road trip like I often do or head down to Florida to see family I wanted a small combo i can easily bring along and this is perfect.

The VT Jr. is a good speaker.
I've A/B'd the Jr. and 10" M-30 greenback through my O20H & DSL20RH.
They can be EQ'd to very similar, but the Jr. will stay cleaner at volume.
You'll hear the SC20 circuit more and not just greenback speaker break-up.
The lil' 800 shouldn't need any help getting nasty if you want it to.

This amp already has a Greenback in it so I won't know what the VT Jr sounds like. The guy said he bought 2 of these new with the greenback in them. I guess Marshall put them in some of them?

Out for delivery!

It's going to take me some time before I'm ready to give any review on it. It sounds good, but it has way less gain than I'm used to. All I know at this point is I will be swapping out the speaker, my Scumback sounds much better than the greenback that it came with. Maybe it's just not broken in, but my Scumback is and it sounds way better so it's getting swapped.
