Paul Floyd ish

Sorry Adrian. Touchy subject - reminds me of all the Les Pauls that were mutilated in the '80's. Otherwise great guitars that are now ruined (even if plugged) because somebody wouldn't just go buys a stupid superstrat.

NO LES PAULS WHERE HARMED IN THE MAKING OF THESE FAKE LES PAULS ........oh thats priceless. BDB.....

Sorry G I am riding a FLOYD FETISH

and actually truth be told my inaugural introduction into the "G" club was via a low dollar HACKED UP white 80's SG that someone had slapped a floyd on......and I LOVED it

Personally, I'm not really down with a wang-bar on a singlecut. The only guitar I ever owned with a Floyd was one of these:

A USA BC Rich STIII. I got it cos I was a Les Paul player in a cover band and all the songs of the era had whammy acrobatics and there was no way in hell I was about to put a f$%^ing Floyd on a Les Paul (made me cry every time I saw some bastard do that in the '80s) so I got the superstrat.

When I was young I wanted a powder blue Gunslinger as my first real guitar, mainly because the reverse headstock looked so cool. Must have been a price issue as my dad made be get an Ibanez RG550 instead which in hindsight possibly was a better guitar.

Y'know, I kinda seriously doubt that if it was a USA Gunslinger. Those guitars from the '70's and '80's, when Bernie Rico was still alive and in charge, were really fantastic instruments. I got the STIII because it was just hands-down the best superstrat I laid hands on at the time (I think this was '86 or '87). Better than the Kramers/Jacksons/Ibanez/etc that I tried out. I eventually sold it to buy a Telecaster when the cheese metal gig ended but I kind of regret that in hindsight.

I don't remember if it was USA or not, would have been early 89 if I remember correctly. However it did have only 1 pickup and single volume so the Ibanez was more versatile with 3 pickups and a 5 way switch.

For the bucks, these Agile's are unbeatable.
Not too shabby looking either.
Comparable, possibly even superior to a high end Epiphone at less than half the price.

YOU mean these HACK

My 1st guitar was a brand new 88'-89' Red Kramer with a Floyd. My parents never bought me one and I was working and going to High School and moved out on my 17th B-Day and immediately went and bought the Kramer & I forget the brand but a Walkman for your guitar basically. A year later it was left at my GF and I took a flight out of there into the Army and didn't return for almost 15 years. :(
