Latest Purchase

British Steel was the first Priest album I owned.
Maybe get Defenders of the Faith too and hang them all in chronological order
Well , I could do that but they are buy 4 get one free. I would actually like Sad Wings and Sin after Sin. Pain Killer is the best art work.
I was going to get some Iron Maiden , Piece of Mind. However I screwed up the order and doubled Pain Killer.

If you are going for sheer artwork.
Iron Maiden Number of the Beast is so iconic

Molly Hatchet totally awesome cover art with the Dark Rider.

Dio Last in Line or Holy Diver

Saxon Crusader

I think the list goes on and on.

Not really that , I have a connection with British Steel . My wife bought it for me when it came out all those years ago.
The other albums are among my Favorite Priest recordings. I went to every tour that hit So Cal from their first appearance until Turbo. Quite a few after the reunion.
Painkiller was an iconic tour.

Never showed up until today
I was never in town for the Priest in the beginning’s I drove truck for a living.
But I did finally see them at the Swing.
I believe it was the Electric Eye tour
Sad Wings was my first Priest album.

Cheers
We had very similar music paths Mitch.
Seeing them play the Whisky with Les Binks was one show that stands out.

As well the grill cloth just arrived
So the grill cloth I bought for the little Crate amp I turned in to a 1 x 12 cabinet.
I spoke to Fitz about doing my 2 x 12 front loaded Carvin also.
That Carvin is going to be a bit difficult.

Yesterday I cut a new baffle out of 3/4 Birch ply for the front of the Crate Cab conversion. It is a rear mounted speaker so for the top 2 1/4" where the amp was I extended the baffle.
Today I will make a rear cover. Also dig out the staple gun to attach the grill.
I need to spray paint the Cabinet but I forgot what paint everyone was using.
@fitz or who ever else knows.

A friend of mine was going to go to the Whiskey show, and borrowed all of my Priest tapes at the time,
Sad Wings, and Sin after Sin , not sure if He’ll Bent was out yet at the time.
But Ron enjoyed the show, he was not familiar with their music yet.
So I was able to help him out.

Cheers

Stained Class was their first So Cal appearance followed by Hell Bent so at that time Hell Bent a.k.a "Killing Machine" was not out.
They did open for Led Zepplin in San Francisco but not sure of the date.

I managed to get the stiff plastic grill cloth in the amp but not the best work.
I made the baffle and it fit with out the cloth. Not great with it. Lesson learned.
It is almost done. Back ply needs to be cut and installed.
