TTR seems less active!

Sorry for the absences, I'm still creeping around! Ive been trying to catch up on some stuff around the house on the weekends and the kiddos are back in school ( which normally would actually mean I'd have a little more freetime but, both are now in soccer and so Tuesday to Thursday means I get off work and gotta go straight home and then take them to practice for almost 2 hrs with games on Saturdays for the next 6 weeks).

Glad to see everyone else is still here though and with the warmer weather starting to wane, should see more around. Hopefully everyone is doing good!

Colder. Warmer. Doesn’t matter. Once I retired I don’t have much else to do than hang out here in TTR with the rest of you questionable characters. :rolf:

It seems TTR is less active than it used to be.

Where is everyone???? Polishing your tele radios? Or sharpening tele radios antennas?

I see most posts sit as I left them when I logged out…..

Its truly end of the world.

I have recently adjusted the time frame for "Members Recenty Online" to reflect the members who have logged in withing the past 7 days. There are indeed members that used to frequent this place that are no longer frequenting this place. There are newer members that have been filling in the slack. Hell 2/3rds of the ownership have left the building. I cleaned out over 1/2 of the accounts from our 1 minute wonder members that created an account and never came back after 1 year. Through out my decades of forum experience, there does seem to be forum turn over on every forum. I just pray that members that are no longer posting here, are in good health.

I will say, my posting has slowed a bit, but it is still fairly regular.

Since joining up with a band, I have been spending MUCH more time practicing. Of course, there is also the time spent rehearsing, traveling to gigs, setting up, playing the gig, tearing down, etc.

It does cut into one’s forum time.

I’ll add that last year I don’t think I posted at all for a period of a couple months, or more. I was in the middle of selling a house and buying a house and getting the old house ready for market.

It was probably the most grueling experience of my life.

Sometimes, life happens.

My weak excuse was being mentally unfit for a while.

Was just starting to adjust to being retired, and it was a huge adjust after running my own Land Surveying Company, being "the man" and turning into a grey haired ignored member of society.

Then a death in my family, with all the sibling B.S. that goes with that.

And decided to finish it off with a questionable successful open heart surgery.

I was in no frame of mind to be civil Lol. But I was lurking........ oh I was lurking!

Great to see you guys, you have no idea of the gravity of that statement.

Wasn't going to share my health details, didn't want to be that guy, and most certainly not looking for sympathy. As my late father used to say " If you're looking for sympathy it's right between poop and syphilis in the dictionary"

Well, I hope to be more of a contributor around here, rather than waiting for someone else to post.

Peace

Dude
That effing DR left me with out a bone covering my heart. You can actually see the shape of it and watch it beat.

You can take my pulse by eye Lol.

The worst part is no impact, in other words, no roughhousing, can't drive myself anymore due to the steering wheel, my grandkids can't roll around on the floor with me. Sux true.

I'm working on a metal track right now, but scared of the critique Lol.

Always good to see you young man, ha grey in your beard. My nickname is skinny Santa!

Man...I'm really sorry to hear that. Glad you're alright though and still here none the less. You're one of the crucial pieces here without a doubt

Thank you my brotha, I feel the same way re: yourself.

Ya, for a couple of months didn't even have the stamina to walk 150 feet from my front door to mailbox on flat ground.

But I'm coming back, stronger each day, lost approx. 85 lbs.

Never be scared to post your music here. I've posted some terrible stuff. The critiques are always helpful and never mean.

Wow! Is there any particular reason for not replacing the bone after the work was done, or ?
Bone was mis-wired after surgery. I kept complaining something wasn't right, was accused of looking for painkillers.

Woke up one morning with all the wires holding it together sticking out of my chest, looked like a muder scene in my bed.

They went back in and realized bone never stitched together, due to shoddy wiring I believe, exposed bone picked up an infection and that's all she wrote I had a "sternectomy"

Someday, so they say, they will remove muscle from my ass and place over my heart.

Hard to find muscle on a six foot tall man that weighs 114 lbs.

So that's why I went insane! Lol I'm adjusting, although slowly, to not being the toughest guy in the room. But it's not so easy.
