What Are Friends For??? - The Unintentional Creation of the'59 Gibson Les Paul Stage Guitar:

ITs a thrilla killa! if gibson could build them that way they wouldn't get picked on so much lol
(and here comes the hate mail) .,..........

I think the current Gibson product is pretty good. My 2021 Gibson Les Paul 50's Standard Gold Top was built on July 17, 2021.

Gibson has recently made a lot of changes to their build process, including gang drilling tuner holes, CNC machining the tops and all the wood is routed via CNC.

A positive step in the right direction.

Well if you cant beat em ....... join the PEAVEY INNOVATION REVOLUTION OF '76 --1976 that is ....... lol ....Im sure Gibson will claim THEY invented CNC use for gutiars. eventually ..... there will be at least 1 Mark Agnessi video and they will "discover" long lost hidden footage showing Ted McCarty and Seth Lover ACTUALLY BUILT a CNC machine in a basement closet.... at the Kalamzzo plant ... before computers were born ... but that page of the log book for the day was LOST to the SANDS OF TIME.... in the move -- or the fire-- or it was stollen or the war of 1812 .... or .... ugh

I have had many and currently own a couple of the early CNC made Peavey T- series guitars funny thing is after 40 or so years........ they still work still intonate and still hold tune .... weight as much as a 76 Monte Carlo .........but damn .... they still work -- original knobs-- tuners-- electrics--- no "finish checking" ...... damndest thing .......ugly as home made sin but cant kill em ....

my take on the Toxic Twins

Oh sorry the pup rings on the T-40 arent original .... some twattwaffle over tightened and cracked em a decade or 2 back (thats where the mojo hides!!!)-- I keep thinking I will find replacements .... but since 98% of all peavey gear ever made is still annoyingly working and pissing people off to this day .... they are hard to come by!!!!

I remember my Mom's band had a lot of Peavey gear.

“I thought it was a Gibson Flying V, just like the one [UFO guitarist] Michael Schenker used,” Hetfield admits in the book . “That’s all I cared about. It was white, it was a V-shape, it had a Gibson plate on it, and it was cheap.”

LOL, Yep...

Funny how, every once in a while, you find a guitar that's "just right," despite it's lack of pedigree.

That's how this Les Paul is...
