Well.........I mentioned in my new guitar day thread that I was going to Orlando today ---- and that I MIGHT have a "guest" lurker in the opium dens and seedy back alleys of "O" town.......And it just so happens I DId!!
One Schmittlap Von DUDEstein was in town on "Bid"ness.

I too had some work in town and it just worked out----- I snuck past the Convention center and we absconded to lunch and a multiple fondling of guitars and amps at
George's Music: Music Store Orlando, FL | Musical Instruments & Guitar Stores in Orlando, Florida

A good time was had by all---- and SMITTY talked me into a cut rate scratch and dent Fender mustang for 38.00 ---- REALLY --- 38.00 !!!!! --I had too--
;)

Cheers Smitty glad to meet ya and hope the rest of the trip is a safe and happy one with he family

Correction...

I did NOT ~talk~ him into buying the amp!

I THREATENED to run him over with the DeLorean at 88 miles per hour if he didn't buy it.

There is a difference!

Anyway, it was great to finally link up with the great eSGEe. I'd tell you all he is a great guy and a real gentleman...but that would blow his cover...so I won't!

Seriously, thanks for taking the time, Adrian!

It was a great afternoon and best wishes to you and yours.

HE is being honest about the threat and the 88 mph!

The Gentleman part is pure lies and blasphemy (I am rather great however--mosdest--not so much-- buwahahahah) ---- we did manage NOT to get thrown out of Georges though and no bail money was required so it WAS a good day all in all ;)

Anytime your back in the swamp look me up!

That's very cool.

But, how can Smitty be in two places at the same time? I just pulled up behind him, here in CT.

All kidding aside -- today was fun. Always great to meet digital friends in the REAL WORLD!

I encourage all of ya'll to take the time --- and reach out to other guitarded members of this forum--- meet for coffee--- have a beer--- hunt bear---buy Winnebegos--- murder prostitutes together--- WHATEVER you "do" in your hood--- get out and DO IT!

Lifes short --- we only go round once.

And NOW --- if I have to--- I can certainly pick Smitty out of a line up--- or use the the credit card I lifted off him to buy a Corvette ;) (made ya look) Seriously though --- did you dump the body where I told you too????

BUWAHAHAHAHHA

BRAND NEW--- small issue with the input jack (you have to "wiggle it" to get it to work......I have three lying a drawer that will work--- weekend project to replace.....and BOOM 119.00 amp new --- mine for 38.00 and some elbow grease.

38 buckaroos is a great deal. It's a fun amp. I have the mustang v head, and I use it the most, because it's perfect at low volumes. There are unlimited tones and effects you can get.....ok, not unlimited, but many.....like a jizzilion at least, maybe more.....basically, there's a lot of variety in that little bastad'

Ahhh...but to see the great eSGEe in action is a sight to behold!

We were walking past an amp display in the store. I completely missed it. But, he saw the price tag and swooped in on it like a vulture on a dead squirrel!

Then, I just stood back and watched the man work!

He did ask me if he should get it. It was about that time I said things that may have included the words, "Run you over"...."DeLorean"...."88 miles per hour"....or some verbiage like that....

Hey nice you guys met. Great deal on that amp.
I did a repair recently on an old Yorkville / Traynor SS for my brother. The input jack was dodgey as well. the jack itself was ok except the spring contact was a bit weak.
It is the enclosed Marshall type jack, PCB mount.
Re-flowing the the solder joints to the board made it right, sprinkled it with love and made world taste good.

Bocc69 I have owned 2 of these little gems previously.....they are AMAZING for the $ have a WORLD of (very nicely toned) modeling options and a great online interface with an endless array of patches......its sort of the poor mans Kemper lol

Loved the ones I had --- and so couldnt pass on a new one for that price ---- and I must say the issue (again as I am not gigging just sitting beside the amp playing/noodling) I used it early this a.m. ran through the stock models.....with the guitar chord placed half way in to make good contact....and --- frankly......its NOT a problem....certainly if i where walking about --- or doing Pete Townsend style jumping flailing flopping smashing type stuff it would short our and or come out all together

But sitting noodling like a rational adult ---- it works perfectly fine......

Love these little amps------ wonder if there is a way to run an OUT line to my Panama 12" cabinet????? oh that would be the poop.....

Always great to meet digital friends in the REAL WORLD! I encourage all of ya'll to take the time

I was thinking about this with a fella from the other site, but the questions begs: baseball bat or flick-knife?
