Anyone here play a Gretsch?

I have the set of Broad'trons that came in my Gretsch G5222 that are unused. Anyone want them? Pay for the shipping from Estero, Florida and they are yours. Of course if you have anything at all to send back in trade that is kool too. I can include the bastard size silver pickup trim rings too if you want them.

mighty cool of you T-Rex man (I keep for getting you in da swamp SOUTH area ;) ) -- I would snag them but I just got a set myself in this

made a trip to my favorite opium den in Auburndale FL today --- called ahead negotiated the deal via email -- walked in strummed it --- checked the neck (as usual Jimmy didn't disappoint) and I paid the man
now strumming it happily through a vox .... yummy

Like anything, if you get a good one, you get a good one...If you can get past the feel, then it's right for you.

Except for the MIJ models, these come from the factory so far out of whack it's unreal.

How about .040" neck relief??? (I'm measuring at the 12th, but Gretsch specs are measuring at the 8th, either way it's a banana)

These things spend weeks in shipping containers.

Bit, if you get a good setup tech, it will be made right before it goes to the retailer.

What is? The patch?
Some guitars are, some are Japan some are US for Gretsch.
Not sure how that fits in?

LOL

The only USA Gretsch guitars are the custom shop models. There are no regular production, USA models.

The G6210 Masterbuilt Jr. Jet starts at $4,699.00

A 6120 DSW starts at $10,200.00.

The Japanese made models start at $2,899.00

The Indonesian models are less than that price point and the China models are about where the Epiphones are in terms of pricing.

While I have some US guitars, some Japan, some China some Korea... I get good ones and enjoy them. Doesn't make any difference to me.
A guitar made overseas is not necessarily inferior to anything else. I think in a blind taste test and no label it would often make no difference.

Right. So I wondered when you simply said Made in China what that meant.
