Their phenomenal bassist, Jim Wooten, is a friend. A very nice fellow and a stellar performer too.So anyway, we saw a great Led Zeppelin tribute band last night, Led Zepagain at Lake Arrowhead village. The drummer was just fantastic and I went backstage and BSed with him at the break and after the show. Came home with a souvenir !

Yes, I am fine. I do have some pain in my upper buttocks area above the tail bone, but I've had worse. Otherwise I feel great. How you feeling still buddy? Everything still ok?
Well awesome on all accounts! Glad you're feeling better and the job bit sounds great as wellYes, I am fine. I do have some pain in my upper buttocks area above the tail bone, but I've had worse. Otherwise I feel great.
Interestingly, the office manager interview changed into a bike shop manager interview and it seemed to go extremely well. The owner dropped out of college and started Granite Gear with a buddy in the way back. They sold it 5-6 years ago and he started the bike/bike bag/coffee shop business. One of the bike shop employees actually commented on my Tube Depot shirt and there is yet another connection between bikes and guitars. It seems pretty common.
Congratulations, Sp8ctre! Here's to movin' on up!So Anyway...I was officially sworn in on Monday! I am now a Telecommunications Specialist with ATF. Better job than CBP and a promotion!

Congratulations.... Will this be your job position till you retire soon?
Now you just have to win Forged in Fire and become a judge.Yes, my final job for the next 5 years...

Has Boo ever thought about a beehive or two? They're fun!So anyway, if I move up here permanently Boo is demanding that he gets chickens. And a Llama, maybe a couple.
So anyway, having fun working on a counter top area in the basement build out. This is in the “cellar” room (wine tasting). It is next to what will be a little kitchenette area which will have a sink (on top of that barrel), an under counter frig, microwave, toaster oven and a coffee maker.
I got the first 2 rows of corks glued. The cork walls will go all the way to the ceiling. The flat surface will be covered in a bottle cap mosaic and will then be covered with 3/4” clear epoxy resin (up to the level of the 1x2 frame/dam).

Actually, yes! And that's a great idea! I have lots of wildflowers and berries that need pollinating. Wild raspberries, blueberries, strawberries and cranberries. I'm pretty sure that's why I have bears and keep a .45-70 loaded by the door.Has Boo ever thought about a beehive or two? They're fun!
Thanks Norm. It’s been a labor of love. We get the flooring tile and carpet installed in November. It then becomes a very livable space. Turns out we are adding 1600 sq ft (carpet and tile measurements) to the house. Heck, that’s bigger than my first house of 1400 sq ft ! I told the wife it would take me about 6 months to finish the basement when we bought the place. I’m now going on month 18You are doing some fine work in your place Don O..![]()
