80's Nostalgia

I'm wearing 33" 501s right now, but I am ready to go to 32". Might just wear these baggy with a belt for a while and go 31" when I can. I was wearing 30" when I graduated high school. Had gotten back to 30" in 2008 and held it there until 2012 when the hip pain forced me off the bicycle. I was back up to a 36" waist until a year ago. I'm still a work in progress. I love chocolate. And ice cream. And food in general. Don't get me started on beer.
34 -36 right now cut depending. Trying to drop to 32 -33 at some point

If I deduct the amount of hair that has fallen out of my head by the square root of the growth rate of my beard, I think I’m still in the good.

:rolf:

I had the longest hair in my High School from 10th thru 12th grade. Then the USAF made me chop it all off. It was worth it in the end...

Started going bald in my mid 30's complete cue ball by 40. I accept it and just shave my head. Wife won't stand for a beard if I still want
the good stuff...so beards are OUT!

She doesn't know what she's missing.....

Chris, when did you get out of the AF? My cousin that lives out there in Cali (when he isn't in FL) was in '88 through '00. He flew C130s all over the planet. When he was getting ready to make his first flight with American out of Miami the plane was grounded, flight canceled and he was laid off a week later. Yes, it was 9-11-01. How's that for scheisse luck? He got on as a TSA trainer for a couple of years and then flew C5s for the CA Air Guard until he got reinstated by American a few years ago.

I served from March 12 1979 through April 1st 2005. 26 Fantastic years! Made many life long friends and saw some of the coolest places in the world.

Digging fox holes and living in tents for months was not so bad in hindsight...also fun looking back, maybe not so much at the time.

I had one of these in the 80's...

I had this up until about 10 years ago. It is a 95 Formula with a functioning Ram Air hood. Not very stock at that point considering what I used to do. You couldn't even put anything other than a jacket in the trunk with the NOS bottle in there.

Damn you. I have a Dr. appt. tomorrow morning to check how my blood pressure meds are working. I haven't had a drink in a couple of weeks at least. I'm going to the beer store as soon as I escape the doctors office.
Well, my blood pressure was 102/68. We cut back on my BP meds for a second time this year. Have to get checked again in 3 months. Yes, I bought a 12 pack of Summit SAGA IPA. I'm going to try to hold off for a couple more hours, but then watch out!

Im too young to remember the first half of the 80s but i remember the second half really well. Best decade of horror movies hands down to this day. A great era for music minus Flock of Seagulls, Culture Club, Wham!, Menudo, New Kids on The Block and Michael Bolton. Fashion was questionable in the years I remember it but the early 80s metal look was awesome; not the glam spandex/acid wash jeans and Revlon shelf on your face though.

And key-tars, piano ties, Pontiac Fieros and Members Only jackets can still kiss my ass lol

I guess I ought to be nostalgic for the the ‘80s. I graduated high school and college in the ‘80s. Met my first wife in the ‘80s. Gigged and wrote lots of music in the ‘80s, etc. But no, there isn’t much I look back at with fondness on other than some of the music. Mostly I really think the ‘80s sucked.
