I'm pretty sure you got to be a member. The snack bar employees always seem to be asking for proof of membership lately.

yes they have some good deals-- but -- NOT that good and frankly I dont need 175lb bag of chicken wings .....or 5 gallons of ketchup lol--so..... there ya go
Same here. I went into a Costco once with a guy I work with and the place just freaked me out. Why would anyone need that much of anything? We buy what we need day-to-day, fresh, from local markets. I have no desire or intent to stockpile manufactured "food".

Most don't realize there's two different Costco stores. The ones that most people go to, are just big boxed grocery stores where the portion sizes are a little bigger but not much. Then there's the commercial stores that sell Restaurant type gear and food. That's where you get the 5-gallon bucket of Mayo and 50 gallon drums of Fish Oil.
A lot of the Costcos around my area are super busy which is why i HHHHHAAAAATTTTEEEEEEE sample stations. These rich entitled &@$!s around my area act like their starving, swarm the stations, and choke up the flow of the store. I drive 30 minutes and past two other Costcos just to avoid the crowds.
I live in the same community as their headquarters and I'm all for their business model.

Hates a strong word.--lol--......I just dont need that much stuff........ and (spoiler alert) your paying for the free samples in that annual membership ..........
walmart has crap (and sometimes free samples by a vendor-- but --I really dont want to EAT around THOSE people anyway) --
and, bonus I dont have to pay up front to enter
TO BE FARE -- My Grandfather in Pompano LOVED COSTCO ---and Im sure bought enough to cover at least 4 generations so -- "we" gave at the office

The price of a Costco membership is no big deal if you shop there enough. We been doing the Business Executive membership at Costco for close to 30 years. 2% kickback at the end of the membership year, plus 4% for purchasing Costco's gasoline. We shop there about 1 - 2 times a month and spend about $200-$400 each trip. Add a $100 for gasoline. At our level of spending, the "Rewards" kickback pays for the membership plus an average of $250 that we can use as cash or store credit.
Costco is a very impressive business model that includes taking care of their employees very well too.
