Guitar dealers?

If you're in Southborough, there are a couple of shops in Worcester you could check out. Everyone says Union Music is really good. My bass player friend bought his Dan Armstrong and Jerry Jones basses there. Remedy Music in Worcester is also supposed to be pretty cool, but small.

If you venture towards Boston, Monster Mike's in Central Square, Cambridge is a nice little shop. He mostly caters to the Garage and Rockabilly crowd, so he'll have Tiescos and Gretsches. Matt's Music is to the south in Weymouth, and Performance Music is to the north in Woburn. Music Emporium is just west in Lexington.

Then, if you go west from Southborough, there are some cool shops in the Easthampton and Northampton area. Mill River, Bird House, and Luthier's Co-Op.

There are more cool shops within a couple of hours such as Friendly River Music in Hiram, Maine and Northern Lights Music in Littleton, NH. It all depends how much of a road trip you want to take.

I'm sure private market is in the equation, we all do that. But new guitars are different.

When I was a kid there was a list of small shops that I would go to with my mom and brother. They're all gone. I will never buy a guitar from GC, and I'm even sour with Sweetwater. I really only know one place, and he only sells Ibanez(there's a surprise)

So, unless it's a secret, how about sharing some info so I can go shopping. Thanks.

I bought 5 brand new Gibson's between 2015 and 2017. They were purchased from zzounds, AMS, Guitar Sinner and one through an area rep in Gibson's Artist Relations program.

From there, @eSGEe found me a Gibson 50's Tribute Les Paul at Mike's Music that I eventually acquired.

One of the new 2016 Gibson SG's I got from zzounds, i spent a fortune on it - hated it - and traded it to @eSGEe for a Chibson Slash Les Paul.

The Chibson was outfitted with all top shelf hardware and turned into a working stage guitar and video prop.

I then traded a real 2016 Gibson Les Paul 50's Tribute, and a 1987 Fender Squire Stratocaster (owned since new) to @Spectre for a brand new Schecter Hellraiser C1FR that he got from Pitbull Audio in National City, California.

So, I would say that there appears to be a fair amount of horse trading going on in here!!!
