Guitar dealers?

Where does everyone get their guitars from?

There are 100's of guitars that come thru this forum,.(or more) I'm very curious where they are purchased.
I'm sure private market is in the equation, we all do that. But new guitars are different.

When I was a kid there was a list of small shops that I would go to with my mom and brother. They're all gone. I will never buy a guitar from GC, and I'm even sour with Sweetwater. I really only know one place, and he only sells Ibanez(there's a surprise)

So, unless it's a secret, how about sharing some info so I can go shopping. Thanks.

i quit buying guitars and started building them.

For me its Craigslist for most stuff anymore, but new guitars I actually use zzounds.com more than any other site unless they dont have what I want, then I hit up a boutique site like prymaxe.com. I've bought tons of stuff from them and they always do me right. For example, I just ordered a demo [usually means used for a youtube demo] Pigtronix Infiniity 2 looper from them and they actually sent me a brand new sealed one for the same price. This has happened more than once. Plus they carry a lot of smaller builder boutique brands that many stores don't.

I look at zzsound all the time.... but are the pictures the actual guitar,? That's one thing I like about Sweetwater. I wanna see what I'm getting.
 
In the past year I have bought two new guitars. One was from a regional chain in Western Canada called Tom Lee Music. The other was from a custom builder in California called Weir Guitars. I don't buy a lot of guitars any more. Those were the first two I have bought in the past two years. COVID lockdown boredom probably had something to do with buying them. The custom guitar I bought sight unseen. The other guitar I ordered online for pickup in store so I could try it first
